Need Help! Continuously Dying Upon Ressurect

Quest: Pilgrim's Bounty - Speak with Miles Standish in the courtyard above Undercity.
Context: This is my third day playing the game. I am a priest in the Horde, I was trying to complete this quest so I was in Tirisfal Glades, 300 yards away and it seemed the only way to get to the objective was through this green smoke. Needless to say, the smoke wasn't friendly and I died. When I resurrected myself, I died again. 7 resurrects later I am looking for some help. FYI: I did try using my stone to go home, giving myself shields, and health spells upon resurrection, I just died too quickly or was interrupted.
My problem: When I resurrect myself, I end up back in the same substance (smoke) that killed me in the first place and I promptly die all over again.

When you release your spirit there should be a spirit healer npc near by. If you're unable to recover your corpse you can talk to the spirit healer and they'll let you resurrect at the graveyard. There are some downsides to this. You will have
Resurrection Sickness
for 10 minutes, greatly reducing your damage. Also, your gear will lose some durability.
To complete your quest you'll need to talk to
Zidormi
in Tirisfal. She will send you to the old version of the area from before it was blighted.
