Hi, Im rather a newbie Mage, but Ive watched some nice arc/frost vids and i really liked the playstyle (it was 34/0/27) so I thought I just could try to make my own build - 37/0/24 -
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=obxicorzxIzbZZVAG000xoCould you please tell me (only serious comments please) if its bad, and if it is, why, etc... plz no comments like "omfg noob lol rofl wtf" and other intelligent comments...
Im not sure about first 2 line talents in the arcane (subtlety, missles, absorption), but I like the rest

Well, I don't think this would be a really good PvP spec compared to standard 17/0/44 or 40/21/0 Specs mainly because with PoM AP I much rather prefer to use spells that will hit the BIGGEST. I realize with this you have more survivability with Ice Block, but face it next patch fire mages get that too :].
well, I just consider PoM pyro too boring... I want to play with my mage... I like more complicated tactics etc... I just love the combination of PoM & AP + shatter or just AP & shatter (or AP+shatter+clearcast)... you have really nice crit chance so I think spamming frostbolts/ice lance/cone of cold will be funny and effective... and maybe I can save 1 talent from improved frostbolt to put it into CS...
The 33/0/28 build I've watched (it wasnt 34/0/27 as I wrote before) is shown in this video -
http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=41426 and I really liked it... so if my build wont work ill try the 33/0/28...
I have considered at built similer to that with both spell power and ice shards you will get CraZy CritSSS
thats actually what I wanted to... freezed targets +50% chance, clearcast +30%,arcane blast/explosion +6%, all spells +3%
but Ill need plenty of mana :-) ... Ill just try it and ill see how it will work
