Hey guys, I'm just wondering, what would be good in both pvp and pve? Right now I'm combat swords, but I'm hearing so much about mutilate (which I've never been) that I'm tempted to change over, although lowered dps against non-poisonable mobs sucks... although that doesn't matter pvp, will that nerf mutilate a lot in general pve?
mutilate is good in pvp but will not be nearly as good in PvE. Fights like hydross will own your face. I'd sooner go maces as a pvp/pve spec because you'd still have close to full combat dps for PvE and stun for pvp.

Close, but if your mace spec and using 2 maces Weapon Expertise will do nothing for you. And imp evis just sucks cos its requires you to be using evis.

Try that, there are 3 spare points to put in either vile poisons or imp poisons dependin on how you play.

Hmm, if from my experience, Combat Maces is a no-no when it comes to PvE.
And there is nothing wrong with Eviscerate. I use it like its cool, and I pump out more damage than Warlocks and Hunters that out-gear me as a Combat-fist build in blues and greens.

That my reccomendation if you are going for a PvP
AND
PvE build. Just make sure you have Slice and Dice up as much as possible. With Imp SnD and 5 CPs, thats 30 seconds. Plenty of time to get more points and use other finishing moves, like Eviscerate.
Combat Daggers is also a good build, but is pretty worthless in PvP.
In my opinion, stay Combat Swords, just tweak your spec a bit.

Paracyte, I see where you are coming from, and its a very valid standpoint. But Imp Sprint and Nerves of Steel are primarily PvP. Yes NoS has it's uses in PvE, but Imp Sprint doesn't really have a place in PvE builds.
He is going for a PvP/PvE build. Imp Kick and Imp Sprint (in my opinion) should be sacrificed for different talents that help him out in both worlds.
If he's going for a PvP build, then he'd be crazy not to go for those talents.
