What he means is that they got a new ability:
Trick of the Trade
. It works just like Misdirect, but the change is that it works for 6 seconds instead of 3 fired shots. Also, it gives the 'trick of the trade' target a 15% damage increase. So it's sort of a bufffed Misdirect, only for the change that to use it effectifly, you have to be in melee range.

Just checked out said thread, and I think what the OP means by that is that with Rogues having
Tricks of the Trade
, our
Misdirection
is a thing of the past.
Though I disagree for a couple reasons: you're not always guaranteed to have any one class in your raid. One day you might go without a Rogue, one day you might go without a Hunter. And secondly, I think we've got a few substantially higher threat-creating abilities than Rogues.
But eh, who knows?

for pulling mobs ours is better, but the rogues got us on boss fights, and other non tricky situations, although we can still line of sight pull to the tank w/ misdirect :). I guess it will open up more spots for rogues in raid.
I think it's situational, actually. In a lot of boss fights, I concur, Rogues will give a distinct advantage in threat and damage to the tank that we won't be able to touch, but in fights like Kel'Thuzad, for example...
Do you want to have the boss surrounded by several Rogues and the tank (which pretty much spells out imminent wipe due to chain ice tomb), or do you want the tank and a couple melee, as well as a few Hunters well spread out throughout the fight to help prevent said instadoom?
This is the voice of experience on that matter, by the way. When I started with my guild in Naxx, I was playing on my DK, and we were insanely melee-heavy.
