Anecdotal story on Disc mana regen
25 ToC faction champ fight - pretty big endurance fight for Disc priests. I see my role in this fight as a lifesaver, equalizer, and damage preventer. I shielded anyone that was getting hit, kept shields on our healers at all times when possible, removed any and all Polymorphs, Fears, Chains of Ice, Ice Nova, Corruption, Shadow Word:Pain, Vampiric Touch, Blood Plague, Frost Fever and whatever I forgot while keeping a sharp eye for anyone that dropped to half life or so in the space of 1-2 seconds and tossing a Penance for unrivaled on demand single target healing. This fight lasted long enough for me to use Shadowfiend twice, but Hymn of Hope only once. The result:
161 dispels
1.5 million hp of bubbles
>300k of actual healing
Mana regained for the fight: 126k (first on recount)
37k: replenishment (I have a 30k mana pool)
36k: shadowfiend (I have a 30k mana pool)
34k: rapture (I have a 30k mana pool)
About 6500 each from my little toc 5 normal trinket, tailoring mana regain enchant, and meta gem.
Ended the fight with about 5k mana.
TL;DR-
Trinkets can help your mana regen, the meta helps your mana regen, tailoring can help too, but the biggest thing is stacking your mana pool to not-quite-holy-paladin levels.
Good luck.

Haha great story. Yeah Ive been seeing alot of Discos start making the switch from stacking Int to spell pwr lately because of the nice mp5 or spirit already on gear. Especially t9 the regen stats are awesome, allowing to gem sp/crit/haste. Can you link your armory?
In t9 gear, even holy priests are doing that! tier 10 is going to be a very powerful set of ilvls.
