Frostfire lost some pop, but Arcane + IV seems viable still. I'm not good at crunching numbers, but Fireball Arcane was the top spec prior to 3.1; perhaps it still is, but the nerf to Improved Scorch hurts. I'm sticking with a 56/3/12 Arcane build for now.
Arc/Frost is still going to be the most survivable PvP spec. 17/0/54 or 18/0/53.

Everything with Spellpower, Hit and Haste.
Prioritizing in that order

actually, until you reach hit cap, that should be your first priority..... after hit cap, THEN go for SP, then haste.
Hit cap = 17%.. regardless of spec, talents, raid buffs, etc etc.. it's going to be 17% and you'll never miss. if you're arcane, then you spec into 6% of that. if you're alli, you can count on a draenei in the group for another 1%. if your raid group has a boomkin/shadow priest, that's another 3% you don't need to worry about.
if you're lucky enough to have them all any time you raid, you only need 7% hit on your gear.. congrats. with frotsfire spec, you need another 3%.. if you're the fire/arcane spec, you need to add ANOTHER 3% to your gear.

Personally i find the best duel mage spec would be a Fire spec for Pve ( not frost, especially since my Gm is frost and got kicked from 25man naxx raid for low dps >.<) and for Pvp arcane.
If your GM got kicked from a Naxx25 for low DPS, as a Frost-raider myself I can guarantee he didn't get kicked for speccing Frost. He should still be able to pull anything from 2.5k-4k DPS.
if you're pulling 2.5k-4k dps as frost, you should be pulling 5.5-6 as arcane or deep fire.
That site is such garbage, you just cannot look away :(

Duh. That's not the point I was trying to make, though.
You know, not all of us frosties are completely unaware we'd do more as a different spec.
then what WAS the point you were trying to make? i know you're not necessarily unaware that you'd do more DPS as another spec (althought, i'm sure there are some who aren't aware of that), but why would you raid with a sub-optimal spec, fully aware that you can and will pull more DPS as a different spec? that tells me as a raid leader that you're lazy and not gonna pull your weight.
