Hit is useless... completely useless to holy.... (well.. i suppose not 100% useless.... judgements missing is can be a pain...)
For RET.. you must be capped.
For prot... you dont NEED to be.... but that missed
taunt
could be very bad....
Plus it adds to your threat generation.
I know it isn't necessary to this thread... but we all just love armories.....

Hit's not really a problem for
taunts
, but it does help with your threat rotation.
Except when ya want to use
These
Glyphs
Instead.
But, in any case... Hit is useful for tanks. Even if just for threat.

Hit is usefull for taunts, but in a very minor way, and without the glyph. You have a 0.0064% chance to miss both taunts (if at 8% miss)

You can make do without the AS glyph for the taunt glyph. Personally, I like having my AS hit multiple targets, it makes trash and adds easier to manage.
Even so, if Hand of Reckoning misses, you have Righteous Defense as a back up. And if they both miss, AS is quite often enough threat to pull.
They are all good choices...
what was it the op wanted?
I forget haha

Wouldn't that be .64%, not .0064%?
0.08 = 8%
0.08*0.08 = 0.0064
0.0064 = 0.64%
Seems esoteric, but in terms of probability, .64% isn't nearly as terribly unlikely as .0064%
Also, some encounters don't allow for you to be able to use Righteous Defense easily: Sarth+3D (non zerg, i.e.: 25-man if you're tanking adds and want to pull some off of the other tank(s)), Four Horsemen, etc.
At any rate, you don't usually want to use both taunts at the exact same time all the time and the split second it takes to realize your first taunt missed so you should use another could kill someone.

Guys, you're all missing the obvious solution here.
If your taunt misses and it causes a wipe, blame the DPS. You're a tank, and it's your word against theirs.

Yep.

Unless you happen to be taunting off another tank for a rotation. That's when the glyph comes in handy.
Honestly I don't see a problem with switching glyphs as needed.

The great thing is though,
you can still blame the DPS if you use enough capital letters

Since whatever-patch-it-was you can use AD as a single target taunt as well. So even if the fight doesnt favor using it on another tank you can still use it as a single target taunt.
Even so other tanks have taunts as well, if they see Sarth turning 90 degrees against the raid without doing anything about it, it's not your fault when the raid wipes.

Yup, I multiplied in a bad bad way. If they both miss (1 in 156 chance) you then have AD.

Personally as of late I'm finding that my judgements are missing more than my taunts...not really helpful to the progression of the thread but something that I've noticed and you can ponder on.
RNG though RNG.

You sure you're sleeping enough mate? Both would be AD+HoRec. So if both miss you have to rely on AS crits and shield bashing!

Yes, AS, lols.
R
D+HoR, and then if you miss AS.
I was talking about ardent defender in another forum. (AD)
