Nah, Frostmourne, along with the Lich King's armour, will be destroyed during the final battle in Icecrown Citadel. They'll pull Shadowmourne out of their arses, say it was a back up weapon incase the rune blade ever broke lol.

Keep in mind, Shadowmourn is a Cataclysm weapon, not a WotLK one.

Grats on Blue text Argent. :)
But on topic, thank Christ! If Frostmourne dropped, I don't think I could handle all the "LOL I R ARTAZ!"

Yay Argent!
But yeah, I don't really want to see Frostmourne as a drop either.

That's a given, but no I don't want Frostmourne to drop because it shouldn't, with out the Lich King Armour to power it, it's just a sticker. That would make me happy, you kill the King, loot him and bang, Grey Item Frostmourne with the tooltip "It's inert, wouldn't cut butter now."

No Froustmourne to players > Frostmourne to players
An item like that is the only one in the game history that should never be lootable, that and corrupted Ashbringer.

Keep in mind, Shadowmourn is a Cataclysm weapon, not a WotLK one.Worldofraids is reporting that it's an Icecrown weapon.
(Not saying they're correct necessarily, I'm just saying there seems to be conflicting reports about this.)

lol this again?
A: shadowmourne is a cataclysm weapon, it's listed on the cataclysm topic section.
B: confirmed that frostmourne will not be avaliable for players, and I say that's a wise move.
there are some powers wich are meant to be greater than us all.
having something to desire, knowing full well we'll never have them is what makes life (and games) intresting.
I'd kill for a chance to have thrall's armor and hammer :P and I know full well that aint gonna happen (can have similar looking ones tough :P)
and speaking of wich, just as sylvannas and varimathras got a model remake, as well as a really cool bow, just as varian got a really cool set of twin swords, WTB remakes for the main leader's weapons and/or armors
thrall need's no new armor, but his doomhammer doesn't look like it should on the lore, on the lore, the doomhammer has the frostwolf icon, it's made of white stone, glows whenever thrall energyzes it, and overall looks like on that cinematic on warcraft III where gromm kills mannoroth.
in the game it looks really crude, common, simple, and unimpressive.
looks like a normal hammer.

They said it at BlizzCon ... so yeah, Shadowmourne is going to be from Icecrown Citadel. Wouldn't make any sense at all to wait with it till Cataclysm.
My best bet is indeed a reforged Frostmourne... somehow. We'll see soon enough.

Actually the Blizz guys were joking, they said "Its obviously a hunter weapon" because of how hunters like to ninja anything even if it doesn't have stats for them, But its a 2Handed axe so blizz said basically anyone can use it if they can use 2h axes, but the stats are more inclined to DKs, Pallies and WarriorsI don't understand how anyone didn't get that joke.
