Not sure if this idea has ever been put out there at all but I would like to see a "Looking for Work" feature added to the game. Something so I don't have to constantly spam trade channel on the off chance that an Enchanter, Chemist, etc with the specific recipe that I'm looking for is in the channel at the time. Something like this...
Looking for Work
this would be fantastic!
/cheer
should def post it on suggestion forums!

This sounds great actually, I also believe this idea has to be posted on the World of Warcraft forums.
And to be honest, if you wont, I will (and tell them you came up with it).
Go go!

Then we can finally change the name of /trade to /citygeneral, and stop lying to ourselves.

Incredibile idea. I'd sue Blizzard if they don't accept it. (Just kidding :P)

Wonderful rendition and idea. I would change a couple tiny things.
Where it says level, I would prefer if it says the profession level, or if the drop down menu simple stated "Artisan", "Grand Master", etc and the prof icons would filter the type of crafters you are looking for (multiple types if needed, click to activate/deactivate). I would also like to see filter locations, or at least see the locations of the crafters.
It would also be interesting if a player could enter a queue for looking for a specific item made, to enter the name in a text frame what they are looking for (similiar to the lfg "looking for tank then gtg), for when there are no crafters currently available.

I don't want to be the naysayer here really but I really pick and choose who I'll send a tell to if they're "LF enchanter" or whatever. I usually will respond to someone who either says specifically what they want, seems nice, and/or is in the same city I'm in.
If I were forced to field random tells from people because I'm hanging out in orgrimmar "LFW" I could see it getting very annoying. Plus if there were 30 JCs or enchanters in this LFW tab whose name would go on the top of the list?
Also, if I can help it, I try to skill people up if I'm looking for something that maybe a 400 level crafter can do as opposed to a 450.
While this is a very nice idea in theory I think it would take away a lot of the entreprenurial spirit of selling your trade and seems to me like something like this would be very complicated to implement to be fair to everyone. Just my two copper.

sporn1 maybe we could set it to have the lowest skill at the top of the list going down as the skill increases. This way those with lowest skill are at the top so you can pick up those with lowest skill first. maybe you could set it to only show people in the 375 to 450 skill. Not just 450 so that you can see those that is higher than 375.
Other than that I love the Idea

i could see this working for the ones who know exactly what they want, and as for sporn1 isuue of the city problem it would have to be singled out per city as we do for the LFG and we have to pick certain dungeons as in we can only see crafters in that city but yet that would mean that crafter would have to stay in that city or was OP thinking this so he woulndnt have to hang out in a city? while trying to sell his skills? if soo then the LFW channel would be so over filled it would be a big mess
I can see that causing major issues ...!

This kinda fits into
my suggestion
from a while back, although I'll admit mine was a little more drastic. :)
