Looking for a new UI

I'm sure this has been posted before, but oh well. Wowhead, I've come to find, is a great place to get help, so here goes my help request thread...
I want a new UI.
I just moved, due to parents splitting up. I lost the laptop I was previously playing on, and didn't get a chance to copy over my Interface files. So, I'll be starting from scratch.
I was previously using many addons including X-Perl. I do NOT want X-Perl again. I want something similar, but I am absolutely tired of that addon.
In addition to that, I despise the default action bars, so I will probably grab Bartender unless anyone can point me towards a better bar addon.
Beyond that, anyone post their UI and what they use / favorite addons? I am willing to try anything. I love a clean interface, but I can deal with either minimalistic, or with as crowded as possible, as long as it all fits.
Thanks.

Hey mate, for a unit frames addon try ShadowedUnitFrames, im uising this now and its great, very lightweight and customizeable. Either use that or, oUF i belive its called, im thinking of swapping to this as it has some nicers fonts and just looks nicer.
As for a bar addon Bartender4 is the way to go, the other option is Dominos. I have never used it myself but i have only heard good things about it.
Creating a clean UI isnt a hard thing to do, right now im using a big old square CRT moniter until i can afford to buy a new LCD. But its still very easy to create a clean UI. I would reccomend getting KGpanels are creating a few boxes or a large strip at the bottom of your screen and getting everything in their. Have one part for Chat, one for all your most used abilites/spells and one for less used abilities/spells and your minimap. Get Sexymap or Chinchilla to move your map down to the bottom and use Bison/Buffalo or a simealer addon to position your buffs right at the edge top of your screen. You can also move your Debuffs to a place where you will always notice when you get one that means you need to do something.
I also would reccomend DoomCooldown Pulse and Power auras if you need addons to manage spell/trinket/other Procs and cooldowns.
Good luck creating your new UI.

As far as major UI elements go my preferences are:
Dominos
pMinimap
Low Memory Chat
oUF Caellian (integrated buffs/debuffs), but pick whatever layout works for you.
SL Data Text
CaelNameplates
TipTac
That's about all you can see when idle and OOC not counting Carbonite.
I also use oUF Experience, oUF Moveable Frames, oUF WeaponEnchant and ButtonFacade Entropy (matches oUF Caellian buffs) too.
You'll probably also want OmniCC and RedRange along with MSBT.
If you're moving anything freehand definitely get Align.
Addon Control Panel is a godsend when you're in the setup stage and trying out different addons and if you're a tweaker as well.
Screw it here's my
setup
with the
list
. If you see something you like just ask. Nothing original. No panels, artwork or viewports. Just simple and it works for me. You'll notice Wormhole and Clique in the list. They're in there for my mage and priest. Guess I never setup character lists last time I redid my UI.
Wow, I really like your setup.
I'm trying out oUF at the moment... This desktop is at a pretty small resolution, 1024x768. Is there a way to move the oUF frames inward? My buffs are getting cut off on the left side.
I'll definitely be basing my UI off yours, so thanks for the reply. I downloaded ButtonFacade last night, does it work on Bartender? Or do I need to get Dominoes?
