Life bloom is still very much used in PVP. The bloom change affects only the bloom itself the HoT portion stays the same. This is to remove the 15-17k bloom from happening while a tre druid is being stun licked for a burn phase in arena. If you are relying on the bloom for PvE then you not using the spell correctly. The did not make it unreasonable to roll it on a tank or even 2 tanks. They just don't want you rolling it on 4+ at once. The mana back is just a bonus not something that need be strived for in a healing rotation.

I would say the nerf in 3.2 is just a consequence of the decision to Stack the blooms (which was a buff), but not an additional nerf to the mana change.

Isn't a full lifebloom stack still our highest HPS HoT? And on top of that, with a delicious 1 second tick?
I find that the reason I don't use it so much is because of the nature of the fights.

It is a PvP nerf, druids are spamming lifebloom frequently in arena and are almost impossible to kill for it. This change will help bring the class back into line.
The reason why lifebloom cost 2x mana and returns half was put in to prevent druids from rolling lifebloom stacks on 5 guys at once.
The fact that druids could do this at the begining of WOLTK was considered a serious problem and lead to them being overpowered PvE healers.

It will make a small difference, and is warranted. Their fix was a bit overboard with no testing after they nerfed DK's out of HoT removal.
I've seen 12k crit LB procs while they are CC'd.... That's pretty damn OP if you ask me. That's why it's being nerfed. They roll LB's on the whole 3's party as well, and Throw a regrowth on the focused target and hope something dies before he goes oom.

I use it alot, i dont see reason not to. I will still be using it after the patch also, plus the Nourish talent will be noice.

They even buff holy pally and after the patch they have HoT's as well. Holy Pally is already OP in arenas and now even more. Why don't blizzard just straight delete Druid form WoW.
firstly druids rock. anyone who says they should be deleted needs their head examined or should play them at lvl 80.
they are not overpowered... ok maybe tree of life is a bit on the imba side but then which class hasnt been overpowered in on way or another in the history of wow. that is no cause to delete the class from the game.
druids are multi role fillers. we can melee well (but not quite as good as a rogue) we can tank well but imo not as good as a pally or warrior. we can heal well but we lack regular powerful burst heals that dont take an age to cast. we bring some unique abilitys to wow like combat ress and a rather nice buff and we are good for people wholike to play different roles without having to re- roll a different char.
the only other class that can dps, heal and tank are pallys. and i think most people agree they are ovpwered in ret spec.. ofc the fact that they were almost laughable in ret spec a while back seem to be forgotten by most people lol. i say what goes around comes around. now is their chance to be in the spot light. i am sure they will get nerfed soon enough and another class will become rediculously ovpwd.
and if you lok back all classes have owned at one time in pvp or pve.... some both at once. ahem DK's ahem lol.
<--- Hasn't been able to faceroll since the Windfury nerf back in pre-BC. Shamans deserve an OP arena season am I rite? Seriously, past performance should not warrant unbalancing a class, up or down.
Also: Druids are currently overpowered. Half the game's CC does not work on them, they are the only class that is capable of truly preventative healing, and most of their spells are instant cast and so cannot be interrupted/locked out. Paladins are not as overpowered as druids (the new changes will make them more tactical to play I think) and priests certainly are not either if you learn to LoS the burns. The lifebloom change was a PvP nerf caused by the fact that druids that had the crap CC'ed out of them were still getting 12k heals fairly regularly. This is a huge advantage that no other healing class posses.

This is strictly PvP i'm talking about. I play druid, so this isn't coming from a priest or anything, but Resto druids at the moment are overpowered. This lifebloom nerf was not unwarranted. I often times got 15k crits on my lifeblooms. Yes, the bloom right now is nice, but nerfing it alittle won't kill us. (Now the death of 2v2, that might hurt our representation alittle bit... :[ ... )
What scares me for both pve and pvp is the directiont hey seem to want to be taking druids... I feel like I'm spamming nourish playing almost exactly like a paladin.... except not having as much healing output as them.

This nerf is kinda required... Resto druids are the hardest healer to take down in PvP atm. Today in WG i saw a resto druid at the southern part of WG and I decided to attack him, 2 other players joined me to try to take him down. Believe it or not, but he got able to reach the fortress and never really dropped under 50% during the whole travel.
