Pets to choose for leveling (IMO Alert)
Steps:
1) Get a cat, any cat and visit
http://petopia.brashendeavors.net/ ~ Keep your cat's skills up (Bite, Claw, Dash) at highest levels, then go for stamina, then for armor. Don't worry about catlike reflexes skill.
2) Levels X -> 30
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=cV0G0xxoThe reason you're buffing your CAT with these talents is because cats are DPS pets. As with many other player specs in the game (aka: ret pallys, shadow priests) your focus is on max damage. Seeing as your cat uses focus (similar to rogue energy) it's free DPS, aside from healing (1st Aid is great!). You won't use revive pet a ton, but when you do, it's in a jam and THIS mend pet can be cast in the time frame of a standard Freezing Trap. The first two tiers of this intro talent build are Defensive, the second two tiers are Offensive, Intimidation is simply a must have, save it for openers on hard mobs (elites and higher levels) or to gain agro on a mob that is about to kill you due to a failed growl or Feign Death.
3) Levels 31 -> 40
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=cV0G0xgRVzMore survivability for you and your pet, more damage for your pet. Last point here is for Bestial Wrath. At this point in the game you should have noticed mobs starting to ensnare your pet (aka: nets, novas) more and come after you. Feign Death is fine, but this will have a nice effect of.. no other than.. more damage.
4) Levels 41 -> 51
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=cV0G0xgRVzZVV0oThus far you've noticed I'm not enhancing your weapon speed with imp Hawk, why? Because, this means more ammo, more ammo means keeping larger stocks so you don't run out, keeping larger stocks means less bag space and more money. Get a gun or bow that is as slow as possible and conserve so you can be out there longer. Another good idea is to have a replacement bag in your inventory so that when you run out of bag space you can replace your quiver/shot bag with a normal bag at a small item buff sacrifice. The points distributed here will help you save mana and thus, save down time while also giving you that wonderful.. damage.
5) Levels 52 -> 70
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=cV0G0xgRVzZVVbRVuhZ0hKilling faster and further! By now you've probably realised how wonderful Multi-Shot is compared to Arcane Shot, keep it up. Finishing out these talents in the Marks tree will imp your killing abilities greatly on multiple mobs, the bread and butter of leveling a hunter. It's also nice, especially in Outlands, to be able to take down more than one mob (even seven) in one go. Save the Hawk Eye talent for the very last, that way you have all you need to boost the last three levels until 70. IF you find yourself doing more instances when in the Outlands rather than solo, remove the Hawk Eye at the end and place those three points in Ferocious Inspiration from the BM tree.
I'd like to note that this is a "leveling spec" and should not be considered anything but with the small exception that you may be leveling a hunter for farming purposes. This build does not have the CC needed for heroics and does not have the sustained DPS needed for 25 man raids. It's also not the best for PvP, but can stand it's own with BW and SS for world and BG fun.
am i leveling in the right place- use thotbott, search by zone. itll tell u the right level for the right zone. questm quest, quest. best way to get exp....
Boooooo! Don't use Turdbott, I can't believe I just read this. The same thing can be accomplished easily right here on wowhead.com. This posters comments are fine other than that small piece of propaganda and the fact that his mind is going faster than his fingers can type.
