What's better than paladins having pretty much one button for half their levels is that some guy made a macro to put all of the skills you get later into one button. So yes, essentially, (as a ret pally) you could do the entire game on pretty much one button.
You can do that with most other dps classes too.
Especially Deathknights! Oh I know there's a video around youtube somwhere...
At least pally's have the 1-2-3-4 rotation!
(Judgement, DS, CS, and Exorcism!)
Actually pallies
don't
have a rotation which makes it slightly harder to make a macro for them.

You just named a bunch of skills. Thats not a rotation. Not to mention you didnt even name them all.

Well, that is just about it to Paladins. From levels 1-20 or better yet 1-44 when you get Hammer of Wrath, you will not be doing much. But on the upside, you pull some nice DPS in the Retribution tree without much attempt and it is one of the safer classes to level. You can heal yourself, stun enemies, and in the face of danger you have the ability to do the old Bubble Hearth. So expect a pretty boring time leveling as a Paladin, or better yet leveling as any other class. The all have their little annoyances. Oh, and it doesn't matter that much but you can reduce your Judgments to 8 seconds. Still the same gameplay though.
Druids are the interesting equivalent to pallies.
Well, that is just about it to druids. from levels 1-20, when you get catform, you will not be doing much. But on the upside, you pull some terrible DPS in the Feral tree if you work at it and is one of the safest classes possible to level. You can heal yourself, stun enemies, and in the face of danger you can HoT and/or TF away. So expect an interesting time on a Druid, or better yet leveling as a druid. All the other classes have their little annoyances. Oh and you can't do anything until level 22 approx, when you top meters for the next 59 levels.

I leveled from 20 to 60 as prot. The funny thing is, I didn't even really aoe grind, I just tanked the motherloving crap out of every instance I could group up in. It actually worked surprisingly well, but I wouldn't try it again.

There is no rotation, just...mash...anything that's not greyed out, highest damage attacks first.
lol best explanation of ret i've seen
start with your left cheek then the right cheek followed by the forehead...rinse and repeat XD

Go Ret for the first 40 levels, its much funnier and imo kinda easier, then change to prot for aoe grinding :)
This is backwards.
Go prot for the first 50-60 levels, its much funnier and imo kinda easier, then change to ret for speed grinding :)
Fixed. You get better tools and more AP at higher levels. I would go ret in outlands if you want to pown stuff quickly and move on.
But ya, pre WotLK leveling a paladin with 30 second seals was much more entertaining while grinding thru azeroth.

Paladins were healers in vanilla. Level as a healer. You can do that from level 1:)
