I used to use
Eykenen
to level my melee weapons but it seems now that won't work. Does anyone else know of a mob that will level your skill without dieing?

go
here
to find an npc attacking a level 70
Phantasmal Lash
, they don't have much health but another will spawn within ~3 seconds of one dying and they attack the npc right away so just press a button to autoattack
another way would be to have someone tank
Anachronos
by the Caverns of Time meeting stone while you wail on him with various weapons and auto attack, a bear can easily afk while auto attacking him without their health dropping while you beat on his behind

No, Blizzard has removed most if not all of these "Trick" monsters. If you want to level your skill you have two options
Find a place with many respawning monsters and go to town (VH before starting the event)
or
Stack as much haste as you can, get a fast weapon, and go to town (
Int helps too
)
Int doesnt help anymore, they've removed that. It once helped with leveling weapon skillz, not anymore.Wrong, they only removed it from the tooltip:

@OP: There's no reason to worry about dying when you're leveling a weapon skill. Even a level 1 mob will give the same chance for a skillup as a level 80.

True, but you just have to worry about one-shotting them by the time you get higher than 10 skill in the weapon.
I use the small elemental trees in Crystalsong Forest for my 75+ kids, and (level-10) mobs for those that I'm actively levelling but need to catch up skills.
Also, a Stocks run is good for any class over 35 or so.

Just go somewhere mobs are plentiful.
If you're alliance, the rats in deeprun tram are popular. There is never a shortage due to the fast spawn time.

Kobolds near K3 in Storm Peaks. There's a tauren (taunka?) who wanders around; when he goes near one of the kobolds he scares them away. Once scared they are 'bugged.' They still take damage, but they don't attack back or move. As this is an exploit, expect it to get fixed one of these days.
