So I've been leveling my warrior now for a bit, and i'm just about 76 now. Since 10, i've been going as prot. I play on a PvP server, and have suprisingly loved every minute leveling. Prot shouldn't be taken lightly, it is an extremely viable and fun way to level that has some awesome advantages. As a prot warrior, you can deal some serious damage to other players in PvP, as well as tank an instance right after. I notice that a lot of the warrior leveling threads i've seen here people mainly tend to focus on arms or fury while ignoring prot. my point is, people who are going to level a warrior anytime might want to give it a shot.

The only problem with Prot leveling is the lack of abilities. You don't get Devastate until very late (50) and Shield Slam's at level 40. Until level 40 you are stuck with heroic strikes, rends, and thunderclap.
That said, I level completely as Prot as well. I had a group of 4 other friends that were leveling together with me, so we did a lot of instances. I did run out on my own a lot though to stay ahead of the group.
I liked leveling Prot. Maybe Arms would have been a little bit faster, but whatever.
That said, Prot is definitely the way to level through Outlands and Northrend.

For myself, I enjoy variety. I have levelled as prot up until the late 70s and found I was losing abit of interest in it. So, I went to the trainer, bought dualspec and got myself a secondary spec as arms.
I had to start from scratch learning 2h-weapon skill, figuring out which talents I needed, glyphs and what abilities would become my bread and butter. I felt like a complete noob and it was fun. :)
Now, I can mix and match while I level. If the day calls for a little berserking I use my arms spec and smile everytime my bladestorm comes off cooldown. Otherwise, I just watch from behind my board as my health stays at near full while the mobs slowly fall at my feet.
Don't limit yourself to one spec, go for the (almost) full experience.
