AttT is pretty lackluster at lower levels; how much armor do you plan to have at level 20? cruelty is pretty powerful, but then again, overpower is already going to have at least a 50% base crit chance.
i've heard arms is a very nice way to level now using rend/overpower to mow down enemies.

I'm in a similar position myself. It's been a long time since I played a warrior, by why Improved Rend for leveling instead of Improved Heroic Strike?

I see. So, open with Charge and Rend, then hope for a Taste for Blood proc so you can hit Overpower and have a good chance of a powerful critical that procs Deep Wounds.
How does leveling change once you get Mortal Strike and Slam?

I levele my warrior as prot and never regreted it.
1) You will be wanted for groups
2) You will do about the same damage than other specs (a bit less, but nothing really if your weapon is on par with your lvl)
3) You will have less downtime eating/bandaging than other specs
4) Once you get Warbringer, it just a breeze moving from mobs to mobs, never running out of rage.

I totaly agree with you. I'm lvl'ing a new character (a Warrior on prot. spec.) and everything goes very well: soloing group Quest's, etc. At first i was on fury, but then my friend say'd that i should try prot., and from that time, i never switched back to fury/arms.

By far the most important part of leveling as warrior from 1-20 is the acquisition of any 2h weapon and throwing on a iron counterwieght, the haste is amazing at that level and makes thing so much easier.
As for leveling spec, I love arms, even though other specs are viable, but arms has the best itemization flow to it and after 3.1, will be better than ever. make em bleed! good luck

If something looks important, don't change it around. The rest is really up to you. This is pretty much what I leveled with.
I actually want to thank you for this post. I just began playing a Warrior and I think I'm going to
take advantage of these skill trees to level Arms... I really thank you!
