Now Francis was confused; she sat down across from Moonlight and watched her intently, head slightly coked to one side and petals curled.

The Prince drummed his fingers upon his legs. His eyebrows, a startling white like a cloud, flicked up and down in boredom. He suddenly stood and began pacing the cell. "Hmmm. Hmmm! When is that plant going to get back? I don't like to be kept waiting by things I habitually smite with lightning..."

Queen Rosea, The Guide
Nature's Castle
"Your Majesty." The Guide stated, stepping into the throne room and clearly ignoring the Princess of Flame's presence. "I am pleased to inform you that we have secured your safety that much more from this... assassin."
Rosea stared for a moment. "What are you talking about, Guide?"
"As the royal advisor, I advise that you not worry-"
"As your
Queen
, I advise that you answer me." Rosea interrupted.
The Guide stiffened slightly, considering his options. "We have captured a group of outsiders whom were wandering the wilds. I have had them placed in the dungeons until this danger is sorted out, for your safety."
Rosea stared for a moment, seemingly shocked.
"Your safety is my only concern." The Guide added, turning to leave. "And I implore that you understand that." He nodded; leaving the room with the door shutting behind him.

The Kingdom of Frost
The snow-covered ground of the ice realm glistened in the midday sun. Great crystalline formations refracted the light in a million shapes and ways, and the air was both crisp and clear. It was as if tranquillity itself had manifested as a vast, frozen landscape.
Suddenly the whole ice world trembled for an instant, like a hammer had struck the top of a mountain. Snow shook loose from the hillsides and slid down the slopes in thundering avalanches, but nature soon found equilibrium. All became quiet and still; only a white, floating mist comprised of the tiniest snowflakes indicated that anything had happened at all.
Then came another quake, prolonged and rumbling like a volcano. From a mountainside a geyser of snow, ice and crushed rock spurted upward. A gaping hole opened up in the ground - a hellish pit from which black smoke billowed. For the first time in a thousand years the surface had been breached by the darkness below.

Prince Maon of the Frost Blade
Location:
Frost Kingdom
The tremors knocked Prince Maon flat on his back. The frost man lept back onto his feet and let the wind take him to the scource of the commotion; the blade forged from blue ice coming out of its scabbard and into his hands.
The Prince of Frost looked down into the hole and felt the unwavering horror of foreboding doom; the echo of an echo of the long dead evil. He looked down into the darkness; and despaired.

The Kingdom of Frost
An ominous noise came from the depths. Semi-regular, deep and thundering. Metal crashing against rock, like an iron-booted giant lumbering forth over stony plains.
Out of the pit then came a sound that could only be described as a doomsday horn, much deeper than any creature's voice and louder than even the most savage storm. It resounded from the wound in the earth and rolled over the snowy mountains, echoing back and forth in a terrible duet.

The Kingdom of Frost
Before the impossible note had even subsided fully the smoke started to thin out, becoming no less black and sooty but decreasing in density. The thumping sound had come closer to the surface now, and it had become clear that its source was indeed the repeated, massive footfalls of some giant creature. Or many...
In a minute, the first shapes appeared in the shadows that daylight almost reached. First a head of massive proportions protruding from enormous shoulders. At the same time as the first pair of legs became visible, the sun shone its rays on the head of the first giant, and its nature was revealed. It was a huge, houndish machine; a four-legged walker built out of twisted metal through the otherworldly craftsmanship of the subterranean nightmares. Black smoke poured out through gill-like pipes on its neck, and leaky steam sprayed from the elbow joints on its legs with each slow step. It lumbered on like a leviathan on legs, infinitely determined and appearing totally unstoppable, towards the hole and the ripe, innocent world above.

Maon was fluid; water, smooth and calm. The frost blade whipped forward and the eternal cold of the Frost Kingdom blew forth onto the oncoming juggernaut.
