Where do you live? Where is the server you play on? What is your typical latency?

Look at your LAT (latency)... If the number is below 300, it should be fine. LAT only means how much time it takes to communicate with the server.
300 Lat = 300 milliseconds = 0.3 seconds
So its less than half a second.
If you are referring to Lag, and your LAT number is below 300, it is likely an issue with your computer. Lag with a normal LAT deals with your video card or background software.
What is your Lat number?
Check for background software that might be running, disable any scheduled virus-scans.

Try this
basically windows user type “regedit” in windows “run..” dialog to bring up registry menu then find:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\
Parameters\Interfaces\
There will be multiple NIC interfaces listed in there, find the one you use to connect to the internet, there will be several interfaces listed (they have long names like {7DBA6DCA-FFE8-4002-A28F-4D2B57AE8383}. Click each one, the right one will have lots of settings in it and you will see your machines IP address listed there somewhere. Right-click in the right hand pane and add a new DWORD value, name it TcpAckFrequency, then right click the entry and click Modify and assign a value of 1.
you can change it back to 2 (default) at a later stage if it affects your other TCP application performance. it tells windows how many TCP packets to wait before sending ACK. if the value is 1, windows will send ACK everytime it receives a TCP pckage.
If you want to be sure of what you IP address is go to Start > Run > cmd.exe and type
ipconfig -all
and look for Ethernet Adaptor Local Area Connection and should see something like IPv4 Address or just IP Address
Bare in mind that if you do this and make a mistake you can rend you computer unusable.
so mess with the reg with caution and at your own risk.
