well here's my advice to you bro'
don't refuse to play both factions, that's like playing 50% of the game.
I play both sides of the game, since after all I'm not paying 50% of the fee to play, I pay the whole thing so I wanna play the whole thing.
is ok if you have a favorite faction, I got a favorite faction too, but while u can have your favorite, in order to truly experience the whole plot and story arcs of the game, it's advisable to play at least 1 toon in each faction.
this game is more enjoyable when played with a "Warcraft III "mentality.
on that game u had no other choise than to play alliance, and horde and scourge. there was no way to skip any of the campaings, so those who favor alliance had to still play the horde campaings too.
what happened? those that played warcraft III had a broader understanding of what's happening on azeroth.
but those who in wow wanna limit their view of the game to 1 side only, are efectively missing 50% of the content in the game, wich is avaliable exclusively to the horde or alliance.
just to give 2 examples.
by refusing to play horde at all, and going 100% alliance, you miss the "hero of the mag'har" chain, one of the most memorable quest-chains in the game.
by refusing to play alliance you miss the quest chain in northrend that takes you to frostmourne cavern, and enjoy a scripted scene of arthas picking up frostmourne for the first time, as well as seeing what happened to muradin after arthas was gone.
these are just 2 of the MANY examples of awesome quests that are avaliable exclusively to one faction or another, and that people easily miss by not playing both sides.
I play both sides, and while I favor the horde a lot more (reason for wich my lvl 80 pally has only blue+green items, and my horde shammy is fully epic and geared for uld 25) I still find some time to log on my alliance alt once in a while to experience that other 50% of the game that's unavaliable to my shammy.
I can tell you for sure that icecrown both raid and instances are diferent depending on what faction you play, would you really be wiling to miss one side?
so, plain is: make 4 premades on the PTR, and make sure at least 1 of them is alliance and 1 is horde.
also don't dare to join the pvp realm, that place is a madhouse, the amount of ganking in front of the instance portals is horrible.
even on the ptr realm plp still do pointless stupid battles in front of icecrown, but at least on the pve realm if you don't wanna join those idiots then there's nothing they can do about it.
in case you do join up here are my toons on the PTR:
1 Alliance DK: Derah
1 Alliance mage: Nethermancer
1 Horde paladin: Solarius
1 Horde shaman: Shakduhn
cheers bro'

I agree. I played both sides to lv80, so anything I say about liking or disliking either is based on that, having seen it from both angles.

i totally got an idea, as Arthas is dying, Tirion summons a vision of his Father, heres what i possibly got in mind he'd say to him:
Arthas: Father!
King Terenas: My boy, what has happened to you?
Arthas' armor starts to rattle from within...
King Terenas: Come to me, my son, we must both pass on, you have suffered far enough.
i'm thinking that would be 1 thing but im really sure that it would be longer.

There is no Arthas left. Arthas is dead. Ner'zhul is dead. There is only the Lich King left. There will be absolutely no redemption for him.

Indeed, were just killing the shell that is all that's left of Arthas Menethil. Of course, if we don't destroy the armour and Frostmourne when the body dies..... we could end up with a new Lich King... or Queen if a certain pyschopathic ex-banshee steals it eh heh.

Or if Jaina's bad dream ends up coming true...

Heh, that too.... wonder if anyone has posted a pic of the "Lich Queen"..... *consider's going to hunt for it*

I found one, and I have to say, the armor does not flatter Jaina at all.

And that's part of the reason I'm not hunting for it very hard.... her nightmare was good, but Thrall's was the best.

Meh, why not.
