I'm looking at a lot of people's UI, making panels and giving perfect solid lines as borders and whatnot. Perfect solid lines as borders on debuffs. All that good stuff.
I've been trying to do the same with my UI, but I can't seem to find it in kgpanels. The borders it has are like dialog, blah blah blah. Really ugly stuff. I ended up making separate panels for each side of a "core" panel (the ones behind my chat box and whatnot) to play as makeshift borders, reducing the height or width enough so they are just a line.
My question is how do people get those borders? Like in
this
ui. Note the borders around the buffs and abilities. I can't seem to get clear borders like that in my UI. Any help would be greatly appreciated and would cut down on a lot of time when I try to redo my UI again.
If it's a specific skin in Buttonfacade, please let me know for the buffs/abilities. However I'm sure it's not that when it comes to the panels. ie.
This UI has borders around the panels
. That's what I want.

I have sharedmedia installed. But still don't have anything for solid borders. And I've tried uploading my own but I don't know what kind of image I need to make for a solid border texture.

I know what I'm suppose to do and how to import it. What I don't understand is how the image should look. I made a picture, uploaded it. And it was blank. It was 256x256 in .tga format. It came up blank when i selected it.

I saved that image and uploaded it and it's still showing as a blank border.

If it's a solid border, than that's exactly what I want.
C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\kgtextures\<>.tga where <> is replaced with the file name is the path I'm using. Is that correct? I've tried like that and with \\ instead of \

Yeah I still can't seem to get it to work. I'll get some screenshots of what it looks like right now in the kgpanels config window in a sec and edit them into the post.

One last question. Are the images opacity based? Where lighter gray will allow brighter coloring and darker gray makes the colors darker?

Did it work?
I'm trying to do the same thing but I'm at work atm so I wont be able to try this until I get home. I would appreciate an update so I don't run into the same troubles once I get there. =/
