I'm left handed but I play with the mouse in my right hand.
Hell, I even use Photoshop with my right-hand (no tablet yet.)
I guess I just adapted, never really saw a reason to get a lefty mouse when I perform well enough already.

This is my exact situation as well. Once you get used to using the mouse right-handed, there's no need to use your left hand for a marginal gain in performance. Maybe for top-end PvP or multi-player FPS games . That's about it.
As a lefty, I strongly suggest getting used to using the mouse right-handed. It really doesn't take long and once you're used to it, its so much easier to use other people's computers, and gives you access to far more gaming hardware.
If you insist on using the right side of your keyboard you have some problems with pressing your alt and control modifiers on a standard windows keyboard. The only position that works for Space, Ctrl, Alt, and Shift for me seems to be pl;', which as no where near the full keyboard access that ESDF gives (I can reach at least half the keyboard and all modifier keys from ESDF without moving my fingers from the movment keys, plus the bump on the F-key lets me orient my hand easily.
The equivalent to ESDF for a right hand on the keyboard is OKL;, which works well if you don't use the Ctrl modifier often.
I also just use everything as if I was right handed.
