No such addon exists, because of the limitations of WoW and the sandboxed case of Lua available for coding addons.

I use WinAmp. It's not the best media player, but the global hotkeys mean I can do all those play/pause/volume/shuffle functions without tabbing out of WoW. For example, (ctrl+alt+space) plays a random track, (ctrl+alt+PgDn) skips to next track, etc.

There are unfortunately no WoW addons that would work, but there are stand alone programs that can run "on top " of WoW like PxP. But as far as I know PxP only works with Winamp, and not iTunes.

This is the best option. Either Winamp, or AIMP2, or any other music program that has global hotkeys.
Media Keyboard
And if all else fails, this.

I use my iPod.
With my big DJ-style headphones.
Cuts out all noise, and lets me drift away.
Also it lets my computer focus on WoW.
(iTunes isn't a great player for playing WoW with anyways, to much memory usage)

Winamp. iTunes is far to bulky on windows.
