I suppose I should ask if you left your guild who hates warriors, then why reroll?
If you feel like you want to heal at some point, roll the paladin. If all you think you'll do is tank or dps, your warrior can do that just as well as a paladin can. In that case, only make one if you are just done with the warrior.
IMO, not allowing warriors as DPS into raids is a minority opinion.

Popularity and nicke versus niche and 1v1 are not definitions for a class.

I found this in the warrior forum. Even warriors admit palis are better tanks.
Nope, that's just warriors QQing, plus these are all tank specific.
let me fix that:
Catagory--------------------------------------------------------------------------Winner
mitigation--------------------------------------------------------------------------paladin
avoidance-------------------------------------------------------------------------
paladin
tie
effective health-------------------------------------------------------------------paladin
oh %^&* capabilities--------------------------------------------------------------paladin
aoe threat-------------------------------------------------------------------------paladin
aoe utility-------------------------------------------------------------------------warrior
single target threat--------------------------------------------------------------TIE
utility-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
paladin
tie or warriors
single target cc-------------------------------------------------------------------------warriors (chain stuns)
less need for expertise allowing more gearing for survivability------paladin <-- this shouldn't even be an argument since expertise doesn't do much for our threat relative to warriors
talent point efficiency--------------------------------------------------------
paladin
lolwut?
buffs---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
paladin
Different buffs and it no longer matters due to the new drums

Nope, you should read my posts in that thread, I've already addressed the issues posted.
Mitigation and EH are basically in the same league.
Oh $%^& capabilities are 2 for paladins on a longer cooldown versus one short one that warriors have.
Paladins are superior in static AoE threat, but not mobile AoE threat.
which basically makes it warriors: 2.5, paladins 2-3, and rest tied.

Dont warriors have 2 oh *!@# buttons as well?
Last stand & Shield wall? 3 and 5 minutes respectively contra 3 and 15 minutes for bubblewall and LoH for paladins.
And the drums arn't on par with paladin buffs (that would be just wrong). The kings drums gives you 2% less. Which might seem small but on my rogue i got 2.5k agi with paragon and greatness. That would be 2450 with the drums which means i lose 1% crit and 50 AP.
During heroism this would make a significant difference in my DPS.
IMO it's a tie between the two. If anything warriors might be slightly ahead with their shorter CD oh @#$% buttons.
Edit: Comparing the buffs would only apply to a heroic or at most 10-man scenario were you dont have other paladins to cover the buffs. While getting a DPS warrior to do commanding shout instead of battleshout is close to impossible.
In a 25-man scenario i'd say warriors wins the buffing since it's harder to substitute for their buff.

They're whiners. They're not admitting to anything real.
If you like playing a warrior, keep leveling and find a guild that needs you. If you want to try another class, then do it. But don't let a guild making crazy blanket statements drive you away from something you like.

I didn't count shield wall or divine protection since it's used rather frequently.
Then again, Divine shield is an iffy Oh @#$% button for tanking.

While this is true, it it relatively similar in ranking with warrior shouts now, aka, tied.

You should read the thread after I left it "ret paladins are better than fury warriors" Are they kidding me? Ret paladins pull 1-3k less than fury warriors in endgame.

Well if the &*!@ doesnt hit the fan you might as well throw it at it.

I'm not entirely sure i'm following you here. BoM gives more AP than BS (only by 2 though to prevent overwriting).
Or do you mean the increase in HP that commanding shout gives ties out with the 2% less stamina from drums compared to BoSanc/BoK?

Both, buff wise, bringing a warrior versus a paladin is relatively similar if you already have a shaman for mana buffs.

you mean rouges, rogues are fine.

It just seems strange to me that someone would go to a paladin forum to ask weather paladins are a good class....
Going to a paladin forum and asking if it's a good class while expecting an un-biased and objective answer, is like going to a paladin forum to complain about how OP pallys are while expecting to not get flamed... (If you can't connect the dots, it's a bad idea)
Most everyone here has an 80 paladin, or are leveling a paladin to 80. Furthermore, they are passionate enough about paladins to come here. Using logic, we can determine that the people who have 80 paladins, and are passionate about them, also like the paladin class...
If you want an unbiased answer, flavored from the perception of many different classes, I suggest asking a question in the general forum (Haven't been there but I assume that it would be alright there). Just describe your play style and ask for a class recommendation.
Or we are dumb enough to come here repeatedly and are reduced eventually to answering question like these...
no seriously, its like going to the white house and asking if the democratic party is a good one

I play both a warrior tank and paladin tank endgame so I can make an unbiased judgment.
Warriors are more fun.
Paladins are easier.
There, I said it.
