Is there any point in reporting bots?

"We are currently experiencing a high amount of issues. Average Wait time: 48 hours"
Sadly, the Ticket frame covers my buffs so I don't keep it open for more than a minute... Its a shame we have to go through all that just to report somebody. There should be a "Report Offender" button. Fill out a small form and hit submit, and it will be forwarded to the proper departments.
I hear what you guy are all say but just like this above, I really don't want a ticket pending window covering up my interface. That happens to be my DPS meter spot and you know how important those meters are to us DPS guys :P
But they really need, as described in the quote, a submit and you're done button.
I had the same issue with it covering my buffs. So I moved them down slightly. Problem solved.
Keep reporting. I open tickets frequently about botters and spammers, and often get a mail from Blizz a day later. Never used to take that long, but with the number of hacked accounts rising, they've got their hands full at the moment.

I read this as I was a bit down about it all and had tried other contacts. Tried GM directly. The wait was long but the GM listened to what I had to say, said they understood the problem, and told me they'd look into it and take appropriate action. I assume they meant that, as it's bad for their buisness having all this going on. GM seemed genuine. Report bots - always :)

taking out jsut the bots doesnt fix the problem, only treats the symptoms.
A lot of the time they let these guys run around to track their behaviour and where the goods are going and who's behind it.
Also they wait till theres a massive base and then wipe out an entire load of the bots in one go. rather than piece meal

there is a point in reporting botters, do not become indifferent!
i report every botter, AFKer, china farmer and gold seller i can identify because i know how the game was like when none of those existed, back in the early level 60 days. and i can tell you, a stable economy is worth so much.
This memory of yours is a figment of your imagination. Bots have existed in this game since day three of retail.

So my dilemma is that I do not know whether it makes any sense to report botters any more.
There are these 3 shadow priests botting at the moment on my server: I have killed the one botting borean leather in Sholazar 23 times in the past hour or so and my boyfriend is killing the other two on his rogue in the dark iron dwarf cave in Storm Peaks at the same time. All 3 have been at the same spots for at least the last week (since I discovered them anyway). We reported all of them but now I'm just wondering if that's a waste of our time since it seems Blizzard doesn't even frown on botters that much any more.
Edit: Also, I was sure there was an honor cap when you kill the same person within a short span of time but this priest keeps giving me 62 honor every time I kill it ( 24 times now).
The problem is that Blizzard escalates botting reports based on how many people have reported that player. If they are in a dead spot without many players passing through, then probably very few other people are reporting them.
Blizzard also said they don´t ban, or even boot people right away, instead they try to learn what bot they are using and how they can break it permanently.
Honestly though; I almost don´t blame Blizzard anymore because I see what type of stuff people send in for a ticket, there aren´t enough gms to go around because they are constantly bombarded with really stupid questions.

This makes sense. I religiously report every bot I come across, and I remember a GM telling me a long time ago that they tend to get rid of botters in mass purges. So it's easy to think that nothing is happening because X botter is still there after being reported, but Bliz is getting the info they need and preparing to get rid of many botters at the same time.

To be honest, I haven't seen botting or gold spammers since MoP came out. For a while there, I was getting friend requests from gold spammers on my real id thingy right after MoP, but even that's stopped now.
I remember back in TBC there was a gold spam website that would script a bunch of toons to die all at once in front of the Org AH. Their corpses would spell out their website. It was kind of cool the first 20 times or so.
