I play a raiding DPS cat and I was wondering what other kitties think of Nurturing Instinct. Is it worth it? I've seen it on several raid-friendly specs and I'd like to hear straight from players what they think of it.

No.
PvP talent that almost isn't worth it there either.... It's very situational.

I haven't tweaked my feral spec to get the 15% bonus to ferocious bite yet, and put a point in NI for a filler point. My opinion is that it isn't horrible because it makes healers spend less mana on you to heal you up from raid damage. But for a max dps spec, those points should go to feral aggression.

Thank you for you feedback. I am wondering if the +heals to kitty is useful, NOT the agi = heals portion of the skill.
Right now I have my two extra points in Feral Aggression, but I wonder if it is wasted, since I hardly use FB.

That's what it's for, so we can stay in cat and not be as vulnerable. Between this and the 30% damage reduction while stunned, if we get CC'd in cat we don't instantly die, and if we are nuking, our healer has a boost in healing to help keep us up.
If you play dual dps, it's not very useful other than situationally.

On a side but related note... This is quite usefull for leveling as the bonus heals recieved affects LotP heals.

The discussion boils down to, do you think that 20% extra healing done to you is worth 2 talent points? I do.

I have NI in my dps spec as well, and I find it especially useful when fighting Sapphiron. That's a fight where the healing portion of the talent can be of great use.
Imagine this: he's in the air, people are iceblocked and your only option is standing behind an iceblock where blizzard is wreaking havoc. There are no healers behind that iceblock. So what do I do? I pop tranquility.
Without NI, tranquility doesn't heal enough to counter blizzard, but with the talent it does :-)
So I take the talent to take some strain off the healers, and for the rare occasion where some extra healing can save the raid...
