Awful game. You've gotta buy all the expansions to be midly competent, and everything you hated about it is still there.

well at first there was a lot going on. It seemed that it could only get better.
Then the nerfs, nerfs, oh did I mention nerfs.
ANYTHING that gave you anything was nerfed. Oh you can do that and make some gold NERF.
You can solo something NERF
it got old quick.
And I thought bliz knew how to nerf.
and every area being loner was a real turn off. Overall a 6 to start, 4 once you got going and a 1 after all their going to do's (and doing nothing) and screw ups.
and that girl and frog telling bs and lies every week didn't help

First off this isn't a "I am quitting WoW" - "WoW sucks" "guild wars sucks" etc. I have played WoW since launch day and I don't plan on quitting, but I am getting bored with things to do.
I bought Guild Wars on launch day and played it for a month and quit. I didn't like it because...
- I couldn't jump
- No mounts
- Can't swim.
- Trapped in districts.
- Not open world.
- Combat seemed harder than WoW.
I assume most of these things haven't changed. But should I give it a shot again? I had a warrior/monk level 20, which I assume isn't the highest level or best class anymore.
Are there talent trees and respecs in the game? I don't even remember.
Are there still weird armor sets or whatever? I had like this blue quality pig looking "knight" armor to describe it at best. There were like three versions of it, similar to tier 9 in WoW.
Is there a way to login to my account without installing first?
Anything positive about the gameplay that I probably wouldn't know about.
Please don't flame this topic and if it's in the wrong section move it please.
Guild wars is way too emo.

Have you considered EQ2?

This thread is highly relevant to my interests.
I've played WoW for over 3 years now and I'm having a mighty good time with my guild.
Me and my girlfriend bought GW a year ago, tried it once and didn't really understand anything of it. We both thought we should try it again sometime, but we never did. The memory of what was bad just kept haunting us.
... well, at least what we thought was bad.
After WoW, we just don't learn how to play. I know when I started playing I had my brother telling me what's awesome and what's not. Now I don't have anything to tell me what's different from others. It's really hard.
GW seemed really interesting, but it was just so very difficult to get into! I might give it a shot at some point again.
But then again, GW2 seems worth waiting for.
Have you considered EQ2?I haven't. I haven't thought of EQ in general at all. Are they any good?
I really need to get off WoW.
