Is FrostFire Still a viable build?

There hasn't been a viable "frost raiding spec" since the earlier stages of WoW Classic. :)
Not at all, Frost used to be viable for a pretty good portion of BC.
No, it didn't.
When they "buffed" the Frost Tree in mid-BC (2.3 or 2.4 methinks), many raiding mages tried it. An increase in DPS from before was clearly notable. However, they would still be a good amount behind the 08/15 raiding specs, and switched back.
Well, TY ll so much. My dps jumped 700pts with the switch out of frost.
As far as rotation is concerned, I start with scorch (glyphed), LB, and then FFB, Making sure LB and Imp Scorch are always up. Cast Pyro's when they come up on hot streak, and Fire Blast if i have to move.
I was able to pull down 2.2k with poop blues. I also gave fire/arc a try... but it was definitely not for me.
Thanks everyone.... really. You guys rock.
Glad it worked out for you.
One more thing:
I would drop the Scorch glyph for the Living Bomb glyph. See the big mage threads for discussions on this issue.

That's actually been fixed.
I tried it before, this afternoon, it's not fixed.
the buff will stay until the person you put it on crits, then it wipes away.
also, someone can put the FM buff on you regardless of what spec you are, but if you spec something with FM, then swap out, the buff disappears from them as soon as they crit to keep you from benefitting it.. they hotfixed it quite a while back.
I was wondering if having precision means i only have to stack 14%?
yup, that's exactly what it means.
