fmatt is spot on. Don't underestimate the mana cost of afflicition. It's expensive as hell! 2/2 Lifetap is all but a required talent, unless the SImcraft starts favoring Dark Pact somehow in the future, but that's later (if at all).
There's very few times that you would benefit from having Fel Concentration in a raid environment. It's just not the best place for filler points.
The question about aggro, although it's true that you won't be doing crap for damage as a fresh 8o in blues and greens, you could say that the tanks you'll be with are also likely to be in fresh 80 gear and probably won't hold aggro as well...so it's still not bad to reduce your threat where possible. Last night I respec'd because initially I was having aggro issues so I decided that for ME I needed more aggro redux. You can check my spec, but it's not cookie cutter. Once my guild gets back on schedule (all raid cancelled on patch week for obvious reasons so I'll be pugging this week) and I know my tanks, I'll drop some aggro redux and shuffle points again.
I really think the affliction tree will have more than 1 desirable spec now, depending on the situtation, which is pretty cool, I think.

below 25% mob health we use drain soul. those 2 points make a massive difference in that 'execute' phase and shouldn't be skipped.
