just stick with quests if you're thinking of grabbing a prof for a quick 160g, while skinning/mining/herbing will get you money with little expenses questing will get you money as well along with new gear, further into outlands, and exp so you won't sit at 60 forever.

Don't forget that any of the Gathering Professions still need to start at level 1 areas. The early returns from mining and skinning are not gonna make you rich. It is going to be a haul to bring your Prof's up fast enough to make more money than you can Questing. Not spending gold on AH Gear, and working through the quests is really the fastest way to earn gold for a no-Prof DK.

No proffs at all. 99% of proffs are gold suckers till maxed out.
Just do regular quests while leveling. I did more than 5k this way on my DK.

which are less time consuming proffs that are good money bringers and dnt take up all of my time?
questing...
no profession will bring you a lot of gold in the first hundred skill points, so you'd have to bring it up to where you are, meaning you'll actulaly have to spend money.
quest.. it's your highest source of income, period.

He doesn't. His Hunter is only level 55, and his DK is level 60. He's a new player, and while he's aware this is a new change, it's really not the same for him as it is for the rest of us. And Slow Flyers are now faster than Ground Mounts, too, so there's some incentive for a young player to want one.
But yes, the 160 gold will come very fast from quests, quest rewards, and even grey weapons and armor.
Though bear in mind, hecool, it will speed up your time in Outlands but at level 68 when you head to Northrend, you'll still have to wait until 77 to be able to use your flyer again.

Perhaps not:
Tome of Cold Weather Flight
The point really is that you could have made the gold in the time its taken you to post on this thread if you just continued to do quests.

Can only be bought at 80?

I said perhaps? But if it can only be bought at 80 then its not going to help.

The Tome is for your second toon only. It can only be bought by a level 80, but then can be handed down to a lower-level alt. So your first time through Northrend, enjoy the view from horseback. Second time through, you can fly at 68 and get fast flight at level 70.
It's so awesome it's almost like cheating. But not for the OP, not yet anyway.
As for the original question: quests, hands-down. Especially if you don't have the time to go back and level mining, which will take maybe 6 hours to bring up to the level when you can mine Fel Iron. But those 6 hours would be worth it, since you'll then be able to make money mining while you level your toon.
