But it's already been discussed in another thread and proven that the Tailoring and th Engineering mounts will stay even if you drop the prof, so it's a moot point.

It shouldn't be removed, no. But you might not be able to use it.

More than sure it will stay in your spellbook, you won't be able to use it (like you can't use enchants on rings if you drop enchanting). My question, as a mount fan, is if they still count after you drop engineering. Ex: If you have 70 mounts now, after you drop engineering will you have 68 but with the engineering mounts learned ?

I wasn't planning to use it, was just using it to get towards 100 mounts. it does in fact count, I power lvl'd tailoring, learned both carpets, then dropped it, power lvled engineering, made/learned both flying machines and will be dropping it for blacksmithing in the morning :)
