On alliance I have a 73 Gnome Rogue, a 23 paladin, 37 warlock. On the horde I have a 58 hunter, 19 warrior... but the realm the horde is on is terrible, so I might reroll from scratch. I don't know if I should reroll horde, I'm kind of sick of playing alliance, and tired of choosing lame races (I hate night elves, draenei, humans.. I only like gnomes/dwarves) Also it seems more of the better players play on the horde, and lots of immature players play on alliance. So should I reroll? I'm kind of mad that I'll be leaving my rogue though...

In my experience there are no more mature players and no less idiots in the Horde than there are in the Alliance. I've been playing Alliance for years, then made a level 80 horde. Played the toon for like 6 months and switched back to Alliance. Why, you might ask? I didn't want to lose all my friends in the Alliance and all that time spend on my toons. So Alliance for me.
Ask yourself the question, are you prepared to lose the time and effort you invested in your Alliance toons, or do you not care and will start from scratch without regrets?

I'd personally go horde on a medium population(pvp for me) server. Its what i did. I started from scratch with a death knight in Smolderthorn.
Wow. I did the exact same thing, haha. Got tired of my dead Alliance server and went Horde on Smolderthorn. :P
@OP:
Go where you like the player base. Horde or Alliance, it doesn't really matter. I love the Alliance cities personally, but I'm playing Horde now because I like the players on my server better than aesthetics. A lot of people will lead you to believe that Horde players are more mature than Alliance, and that cannot be father from the truth. You'll find immature and mature players on both factions. It just may take some time before you find a server that you really like. When WotLK hit, a lot of the top players on my Alliance server transferred due to the population influx of Death Knights (and the, oh, 4 hour queues to get in). Don't know what endgame there is like now, but for a while anything past Outland was total trash socially.

I actually, started on Bloodscalp (US PvP server), because my best friend played on that server. I got my UD lock up to 14 and decided I wanted to try an Alliance toon, so I rolled a NE druid (on Sargeras US, another irl friend's server) and never looked back. Eventually I got kind of tired of my Alliance toons and made some new Hordies on Bloodscalp, but I eventually went back to my faithful NElves.
I personally dislike gnomes, undead, and trolls. I like all the other races, my favorites being Night Elves and Tauren. I have a BElf DK (55, never played yet) and Orc hunter on Echo Isles (US PvE server) because it is yet another irl friend's server, but I really, really like my Alliance toons. I have put way too much time, energy, and emotion into leveling them, gearing them, and having fun on them to switch servers personally.
So for sure until I get my hunter to 80, my druid and dk to Northrend, and my shaman to Outland, I'm sticking with them. And honestly, having played extensively on Bloodscalp (Horde) and Sargeras(Alliance), there are immature young kids
and
chill, mature adults on both sides. You just have to find them.
I got lucky and found a great guild, no little kids, noone needs to L2P, and everyone is helpful to everyone else. If I'm getting camped by Horde, I have anywhere from 1-7 geared 80's there to drop them within 5 minutes, depending on where eveyone is. 80's routinely run Northrend instances on normal difficulty to help us lowbies (it feels really weird being 73 and still calling myself a "lowbie" >.>...) level faster.
I would suggest you search around and try to find a legitimate guild, either PvP or raiding, whatever you prefer, and go from there. I think you'll regret walking away from your rogue.

Play the character you like the most with the people you like the most.
You'll have more fun that way regardless of your battlegroup.

*cough* And you wonder why Alliance get that bad rep for never fighting alone...
1 or 2 people I understand, Horde will probably bring more and you can get some real action going ;D
Or you could bring 10 and totally ruin any fun.

lolz you guys...
Its not as though I call in the
cavalry
every time I get smoked. If someone is vindictively camping me, then yeah, I'll get help. But only if I try and fail to kill them, and then try and fail to get away...most of the time that means it's another hunter that has at least 5 levels on me.
And anyway...all I'm trying to do right now is level...so I can get to 80. I never liked the idea of 80(s) ganking anyone lower than them. And a geared 80 vs a noob 80 is not much better.
There are jerk-offs and honorable players on both sides. It's too bad you guys haven't found any of the latter Alliance players on your servers.
Oh, and one more thing...it's a
game
people...

The fact that TBC implemented shamans and paladins for both factions, there is no longer any distinguishable differences between sides. That being said, /thread. Research servers, find out which have good amounts of activity, on either side. Rolling Horde or Alliance won't make or break you. It's
who you happen to run into on the server you choose
.

This. The whole, "immature people play alliance" argument is a load of crap. There are just as many immature people playing horde as there are playing alliance. Just read through this thread. Half the people telling you to roll horde talk like they just learned how to type. Choose a side based on what cities and races you like more, not whether or not you'll be playing with immature people, because they are on both sides.
Personally I've met more annoying people on the horde side, but that's just me. And I'm not going to say all immature people play horde because of it. I'm smart enough to realize that both sides have them.

Let's just say you get to go hunting for stinky animals when you play alliance.
