Kaitha, that's all well and good, but that's just anecdotal evidence - the majority of players who don't have the achievement know the fight less than the average player who does have the achievement. And when you're PuGing and looking for DPS, which there are plenty of, you'd prefer to go for the players who are most likely to know the encounter.

I don't see why an achievement matters, everyone has to experience something for the first time. Maybe even if they don't have an alt, they've read up and seen some videos and know how to play their class, and can listen. Experience is great but you've got to give people a chance to get some experience or how will they ever learn?
Achievements can be easily faked these days too. Sure you find out afterwards when the person gets the achiev at the end but no one cares by then as it's been a success.
