I am tired of people downplaying druid heals

Considering the OP statements, he should ignore everything people tell him about druid healers. Hell, he should even stop playing with them and find new people to heal. Druids output of HPS can be so high its ludicrous. For example, 5 healing 3 tanks on patchwerk last night, 4 priests and 1 druid (me). At the end of the fight, my HPS were 1.2K higher than the next healer. And, I would like to add that I heal using the default UI only.
All in all, just completely ignore the naysayers. They have no clue what they are talking about and don't deserved to be healed by us.

wow, so much feedback. thx for the insight on the lifebloom crit. However, it still remains dependant upon your style. How you are healing who you are healing changes everything. I talk to some restos and they say they never even use nourish or regrowth. (I feel this is very foolish and lazy). If I am tank healing patch, I am stacking hots and spammng nourish (nourish and regrowth becomng very dependant on crit). If i am raid healing , and since i am already well geared and have the capped gcd haste becomes more important for the cast time on regrowth and nourish that i am popping occasionally. I actually carry multiple pieces of gear to swap out, dependant on the fight and my job in that fight. I do the same with my boomkin. I had a amge last night saying he wishes he had rolled a druid because i can switch to all the specs, melee, ranged, heals, and tank. The poor little gnome mage was jealous because he has to roll multiple toons to do all that, when he should have just rolled a druid.

A resto druid rolled on the boots of septic wounds, she was told that it was more for a dps because they have crit and resto druids dont need crit.
Crit give me
-
30 % free heal
-
haste on cast spells
-make non-hot heals give me better HPM out of them
and with
this
you reach a cap for hot's so haste losse value when you get the last 30 % to it
and in ulduar gear+raid buff I get pretty close
Resto Druid's use mainly Hot, but don't mean we not use other cast either, and people who say druid do not use crit you can frankly get a thorn branch up their ....you know where
btw about 3.2 with new innervate make spirit more less interesting stat then pure sp once again=/

The only thing that diferenciates a DPS caster item of a healing one is hit. Haste is as important as crit for many dps classes, and moonkins also benefit from spirit as it increases their spell power.
So I would say that the best person to judge if they need haste, crit, mp5 or whatever is only the player that truly knows the class, regardless of what anybody says (and even more, if they don't know a damn about druids).

I don't heal for long time, just recently I respecced, so far I healed mostly heroics, naxx 10/25 pugs and one ulduar10 guild run.
what I found is that I mostly use rejuv, regrowth, wg, nourish and swiftmend... I never use HT and I barely use LB...
so from these 5 spells I use mostly 3 can crit. I usualy just keep rejuv and regrowth rolling on tank, wg every CD on raid/party and spam nourish when needed, swiftmend if critical.
in our ulduar raid we had 3 resto druid healers, I had the worst gear and I ended second close to first in healing done... my most used spell was nourish.

Bumping a two month old thread probably isn't a good thing to do considering very few of the opinions expressed here are relevant today.

Excuse my butting in here, but the statement that pally healers are crap is a bit harsh. For the record i love resto druids and it pains me to see raids without them but as it stands there is little that can match a paladin for sustained power house tank healing. Until recently give us more then 1-2 targets and we would try to gouge your eyes out because it was hell, but with the recent beacon changes it isn't so bad.
To the point of the topic it was a pug, just ignore that %^&* in pugs, its not usually worth the often to talk sense to pugs.
*edit* just noticed this was a necro'd thread sorry about posting hadn't even noticed.

There are so many incorrect answers in this post I'm not even going to try to quote them all.
Because it's two months old.
I wish there was some way you could mark a post as a necro without continuing to bump it.
