I am tired of people downplaying druid heals

I was in a pug 25 man naxx last night and I nearly lost my cool. A resto druid rolled on the boots of septic wounds, she was told that it was more for a dps because they have crit and resto druids dont need crit. This coming from a prot pally. I said no, they are good boots for both balance and resto. That resto druids need crit more than haste since most spells are instant cast. He laughed and said that haste was the most important that I need to learn the classes. Then a few others jumped in and started saying that druids are the worst, they would take a pally or a priest anyday. I almost freaked, I did a 25 man vault a few days ago to knock the rust off my heals and did 46% of the healing. I was healing both tanks and the raid. I am getting sick and tired of people thinking hat resto druids are just mediocre raid heals. A well geared druid can keep up the main tank and raid heal, without going oooom. I cannot remeber the last time it was I went ooom. Mp5, spirit, SP, crit: stack those in that order on your druid and you will be a star, better than any other healing class out there. Pally heals are overrated, yeah they can give 15k crits but big deal, that is on one target. I can keep 6 people at one time getting about 2k worth of heals every 2 seconds, while spamming hots and nourish and swiftmend on the main tank. Druids dont let anyone get that low to have to heal for 15k in one shot. keep the hots going druid brother and sisters. DRUIDS FTW! whether it be resto, balance or feral. the only class that can do it all and do it well.

If a resto druid won the roll on the boots they should have gone to the resto druid.

Since it was 25man Naxx it is pretty safe to assume that the Druid was already decently geared. So assuming he already had the 1s GCD for his instant casts haste kind of becomes a bad stat. After all it does exactly nothing for your main heals, the HoTs. Same goes for crit but that at least can proc nice secondary effects (Living Seed!).
I kind of prefer crit over haste (after having the 1s GCD). Spellpower is obviously far superior to both.
But all that doesn't matter. If the item was an upgrade for him and he won the roll he should get it, as easy as that.

Just see how *!@#ed the boomkin druid will be when you pull a "hey you can't roll on the Torch because it has mp5 a "resto" stat."

Sorry man, Haste is more important or a Resto Druid then Crit is. Haste drops your GCD nexto to nothing so you can pop HoTs like a mad man.

This is why Ghostlands has a guild called Moar Pew Pew Less QQ! I rolled greed on healing gear for my feral, because i'm about to dual spec, and a DK flipped out. They're BOP, no one rolled need, and you can't use em so wtf?
Don't think you know all about a class just because you have one. There's a lot of different ways to play the same class. And druids ROCK btw. I think it's one of the more difficult ones to play because you have to know when to fill what role.
I always roll greed unless I need the item.... That guy is a Maroon.

In the Paladin's defense, crit IS an absolutely trivial stat for a Resto Druid who raid heals by HoT rolling. Rejuv, WG, LB... how many of those can crit? Oh... the final portion of LB.
And nothing irritates me more than petty stat feuds. "Oh lol I have 1 more spell that can crit I should gets teh itemz!"
Idd. A Resto Druid who wants the item should get fair roll on it.
WTB critting HoTs (and the necessary balance needed to counter this) just so I can actually get a fair amount of use from crit.

It really depends on the item that the resto druid already had. If i remember correctly. the Valor badge boot is better, but it requires badges. I don't remember there being any boots that were equal to the badge boot in terms of resto druids for naxx25. So if that druid had the badge boot, then rolling on it would be bad. If the druid had earthgiving or some lower tiered boot, then its fine. This is regardless of haste or crit or whatever arguments; SP usually comes first.

Séékér on Tichondrius.
Alt code for the é is 130.
This information is incredibly useful until I figure out how to copy and paste. =P
