like they said a HUGE army will fight Arthas then Tirion and him will fight 1 on 1(with the raids help) then in an act of desperation (5%ish health) he casts fury of the lich king to kill everyone but it backfires and is affecting Arthas also in a heroic act Tirion strike Arthas with a final blow which which ends Arthas but the small effects of the spell go full scale soley on Tirion killing him (think of jumping on a grenade so the people next to don't die)
(fury of the lich king kills everyone)
(hope this makes any sense)
meh, if Tirion dies in the ecounter, I want ashbringer lewt. also " Tirion and him will fight 1 on 1(with the raids help)" that's not exactly 1 on 1, that's more like 26/11 on one

My guess is Darion(Tirion will die somewhere earlier) kills him with the Ashbringer when he's weakened enough. Varian, Sylvanas, Darion and Tirion - if he's not dead before we enter Icecrown - will lead forces.
Varian is mad at Thrall cause orcs razed Stormwind and Garona assassinated his father, true, but he's also at Arthas. They were childhood friends. Varian helped Arthas in training while in Lordaeron.
It'll be interesting to see how will Blizz manage to make the fight against Arthas hard and epic enough. If you have read Arthas: Rise of the Lich King and done Matthias Lehner's quest chain you know what I mean. Arthas is not actually dead. He can't be turned back though. There is no more Ner'zhul, nor human Arthas; Arthas destroyed his heart, gave away his humanity, stole Ner'zhuls powers and threw him away(Rise of the Lich King, epilogue) and now rules alone. He also can raise people he has killed as his minions endlessly, making him very hard to defeat, impossible without Ashbringer I guess. We can only weaken him, with npcs, and let Darion finish him with Ashbringer(his father's spirit somehow helping him there).

Necro?
But anyway, it's not just Arthas, Ner'zhul's still in there somewhere. I think the end of the book was more of the Lich King entity symbolically killing both Arthas and Ner'zhul's individual halves, with just the sum of the two left. It's like baking a cake. There may both be eggs and flour inside, but they are no longer their individual components.
The reason I think this is because of the quest:
The Echo of Ymiron
.
The Lich King says he was once a shaman. Arthas was never a shaman. Ner'zhul's still in there somewhere.

No, the Lich King has always admitted its both of them, but as it stands now, there is only one soul: The Lich King, Arthas and Ner'zhul are gone, the Lich King personality killed them both. We're the ones who keep calling him Arthas.

i think that some great warrior will die and be turned into a dk then rebel and make other dks rebel and they will team up with the alliance and the horde and then they will take him down and then no more lich king

Trick question: He doesn't. He decides to put away his evil ways and work at McThrall's. He will be the janitor who gets to fill in for Craig the cook on his sick or off days, and earning 6s 15c an hour. Upon dropping any food or drink, he will quote "Fool! I just waxed that floor! The armies of the Scourge will hunt you down, and tear your flesh off limb from limb. And this time, you cannot win. Icecrown Citadel was but a setback. This time, you'll be the one to fall!"
At least that's what I assume.
