for one your gear is good, but not BIS even before ulduar.
2nd if you look at those wws parses with ppl doing crazy dps, you'll most likely notice all dps doing very high dps, making the fights short resulting in a very high uptime of heroism, trinkets and the like.

I have yet to see 7k dps on a normal boss fight, no doubt it can be done but its amazing.
Where did you see someone pulling out 7k dps?
Just out of the blue sense I don't know where you saw someone getting 7k dps I would say..
1-There on of the bosses who drop a dmg increasing thing of some sort :P
2-Crazy good group composition?
Lol idk

Just
a random WWS parse on Patchwerk 25
shows quite a few people in that raid making it above the 6k dps mark.
It must be a combination of superb gear and composition, and near-perfect latency and player awareness. But I wouldn't have a clue about any specific winning dps strategies.

When everyone is geared well, everyone's dps increases due to increase in relative heroism/BL uptime. This is for normal fights, not counting special boss mechanic fights where they may take extra damage due to buffs/debuffs. Several classes atm are very powerful in pve, including feral druid, rogue, and DK.

I have a DK, with 5 lvl 213 items, the rest are crafted/naxx 10 stuff/badge, and only a two piece tier bonus, and I'm already pushing 3.5k in 25 mans. I've just switched from Blood to Frost, so I don't know how well that's going to go.

I knew a warrior who was doing more than 4k dps in Sunwell.
Reason? The whole raid was built especially for him. The guild gave him the best gear, he had a perfect group setup only for him, and so on.
So when you see a guy that's doing 6k-7k DPS now, it's probably the same thing, he's the main damage dealer of a guild and they do everything to increase his particular DPS, like they have several Blood DKs who rotate Hysteria on him, have rogues constantly using Tricks of the Trade on him and so on. It's not the only possibility but it's a very likely one.

Hello all, I am really curious about it.
I usually do 3k+ DPS, max I had was 3998 on normal boss fights (without special buffs, etc). Currently I am Naxx25/Ulduar10 geared death knight (
http://darkmoonfaire-eu.warcrafter.net/Sajuukh
) and I am usually on 2nd place in our raid DPS meters (1st one is a hunter who deals 3.5k+). I follow rotations which are on EJ, I am not a slacker and quite active, I buy flasks and food buffs.
So I think that in theory when I get BiS items from Ulduar 25 I will be doing.. 5k dps, not more.
How people manage to do 6-7k DPS? What's their secret? Hacking? Super secret rotations? Uber gear combo? Some weird talents?
I would love to hear answers from those people (especially DKs) :P
Only >4k in that gear? Its a skill issue with you then. That kind of gear should easily be pushing over 4k on an average fight. Either you, or your spec, is bad.
