In ToC25 level gear I've seen the UH ghoul do 650 dps.
Outside of UH (and without the ghoul glyph) it should be significantly less.

With full 245 gear, the ghoul can do 1200 dps as Unholy with glyph. Maybe with 213 gear he did 500 dps.
For Blood it isn't much of a cooldown, but free dps is dps.

For unholy with all the useful accoutrements for our rotting friends the ghoul does ~1k dps in ~232-245 gear on a fairly straightforward nuke fight like Jaraxxus, dropping ~20% when you look at encounters with breaks like Beasts/Anub'arak. For blood/frost specs the temporary ghoul does ~350 in the same situation (when it's up), although the actual dps is less "affected" by breaks since you're hopefully timing the summon so it'll hit something for the entire duration.

is a decent sample size if you want to look at unholy ghoul damage.

ebon plague is
only
unique in that it can be applied to a large number of mobs at once but it shares the 13% magic damage debuff slot with earth and moon and curse of elements
crypt fever is unique (given it applies to everyone's diseases and not just yours)
anti-magic zone is unique
frost offers imp icy talons which only shares a buff spot with imp windfury totem
blood offers hysteria which is unique

i'd rather toss hysteria on someone like a cat than myself to get the most out of it, yeah my dps will be lower but when everyone is all like "omg look at the cat go!" i can grin and say "yeah that's my doing."
44/0/27 is indeed a fun build and a good starter but 51/0/20 will quickly outperform it while being gruelingly mundane

aww but then the demo locks will feel lonely being the only ones "taking one for the team" although it is odd that locks, manipulating the dark arts, are the ones speccing for the "greater good"
nice touch with hysteria+GotN
