I swear my wife has started a campaign against WoW enrolling my friends to turn up when ever I start to raid, how do you stop this and still stay in a relationship?

if you play alot, like 8 hours a day i or like 6 hours straight. Then it is you who needs to change. If you play 4 hours, you are not really addicted so it is destructive to be honest.
You still spend time with your wife? Or is it work and wow 24/7, then i see why you wife is so eager to get time. It is okey to demand time, but there is a different between trying to control you and your hobby and spending time with you.
try to set up times you play with your friend who is reasonable, so you spend time with your friends and have a wow life. If it does not work, your friend is not totally your friends then is they?
It is like a friend telling you cannot do chess any more bcs they do not like it and do not wanna play even then you spend time with them.
This is just how i see it, handling wow and RL is about balance.

first off, is your wife truly planning this with your friends and they really show up on purpose when you are raiding? or is it a matter of bad timing and just being unlucky on your part?
if your wife is truly enlisting them to do this, do you need to take a better look at your WoW habits? perhaps they are all trying to tell you something...like, please return to reality.
as far as having it stop, does your wife understand how WoW works at all? perhaps she simply sees it as a game (as most people do :p) but it might help to explain that you are involved with other players and the effect it can have in-game.
hard to say, not knowing the status of your relationship among other things, but i'm going to take a wild guess and assume if you married her, you love her, and if WoW is making you question the stability of your relationship, then which is really the problem - WoW or your wife?
answer: WoW

Maybe you should take it as a hint that your playing WOW a little too much. If you want your wife to stop nagging you, you should.... oh I don't know.... spend some more time with her? I promise you the majority of the time, wives/girlfriends won't nag you/stage an intervention if your doing something right.
