I can understand people being hesitant to lead 10/25mans. But starting a 5man is easy. Therefore its ludicrous to see the LFG channel for the daily full of tanks, healers, and dps all wanting to join groups but not willing to start one.
I'm dps. When i see a tank or healer appear in the queue for the instance i want, i invite them. From there its dead simple to grab the remainder.

Wel, I was a tank in TBC since lv 60. You need a pretty thick skin for that. So later on in TBC I switched to fury on my warrior and never looked back. I PuG'd ZA/Kara every reset and I can tell you nobody had problems with me leading, and if they had it's easy enough to leave.
Back then you could go of by gear A LITTLE BIT at least. Making for pretty succesful PuG's and bearruns.
Now in WotlK I only PuG'd a little OS10 on my priest alt.

Me and a friend had just joined a new guild and the main 10men group was gone already(most of them Ulduar25 geared...) Leaving the les geared standing there. Me and my friend decided to pick them up and we cleared til Yog that week :p.
Other then that I PuG just about everything, Ulduar10/25, OS10/25, Nax...I quited, don't need anything from there and ofcourse I cleared both ToC10 and ToC25 with a PuG this week.
Long story short, I join PuG's that others make because you can't seperate a good from a bad player anymore and its simply to much frustration.
For 5-mens it's about 50-50 but by the time I wanne form a group a friend picked me up for the daily.

For VoA i make raids quite often, but for the rest i generally don't. There is simply to much hassle and i have enough time being a RL in guild :)

I'm always pretty dedicated, at least if it's ulduar+ raids. Although I don't PuG raids too often (mainly guild runs), I'm usually the RL in any PuG I'm in except maybe VoA or OS.
Yesterday I found the LFG for ToC10 normal pretty crowded, so I decided to get the peoples in there, so after about 15 minutes we started. In the we actually ended up clearing ToC10 in a PuG. All about getting dedicated players and pugging might end up being really fun.
