There are parental controls on World of Warcraft; it could be that the time spent in-game is tracked there. I haven't ever used them, since I don't have kids myself.
Trust me as a voice of experience when I say that, even if you can turn them off, your mom will know (for example, if she goes to see how much time you've played and sees that the monitor has been turned off) - and that will probably get you in more trouble than just playing more than you're supposed to play.

The parental controls feature, however she would have to know your password and I think you have to confirm parental control activation in your email. Of course she could have a program installed etc. Lots of options, but as Xara said, don't mess around with them as you'll just get yourself into trouble.

If the OP is young enough to worry about being punished by his mom for playing too often, then the account is likely in her name and on her credit card - which means that with a few quick phone calls and identifying herself properly, she can get access to the account.
Back when I was in high school I got in trouble for (stupidly) vandalizing a seat on the school bus; I happened to get home before my parents and erased the message from the principal on the answering machine. Unfortunately, that got me into even
more
trouble, because unbeknown to me, the principal had then called her at work and mentioned he left a message at home for her.
Suffice to say, trying to fool your parents may work some of the time, but the consequences when you fail probably aren't worth it.

Man, I'm 21, but I've been there and done that. Take it easy...WoW isn't going anywhere. We'll still be here years from now imho. Don't get worked up over it.

There are parental controls built into Windows Vista also, including a monitor of chat sessions and game time and so forth. She probably tracks it there.

It's not "creepy" for your parent to put monitors and safeguards on their computers that you use. It's called responsible parenting, and it is done because they care!
Computers can do amazing things, but not everyone on the other side of one has your best interest at heart. It would be a cold hearted or very naive parent who never did any "checking in" to see who is contacting and influencing her family online!
I will have to agree with the other posters, there may be ways to attempt to work around the monitoring setup, but in the end you will only hurt yourself more when they find out. You WILL damage any trust your parents have for you, resulting in loss of privileges, and possibly consequences you don't enjoy.
Bottom line: if you want more trust and more privileges, show yourself trustworthy and responsible! Moms really love that type of thing, and generally everyone ends up happier *for the long run.*
I know, I know I sound like an old fuddy duddy. I do hope you can understand my meaning, and see how cool it is that you have parents who care.
