the next upgrade from the staff is this:
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=13046
you should just set the wowhead search functions to items usable by druids with agi/str/stam. you can filter by 2h weapons also. i believe a twig of the world tree will be the easiest for you to get, just check the AH.
your first big outlands upgrade comes from the last boss of hellfire ramparts:

Well, yeah. Good pre-60 gear in general is pretty hard to track down (though I've not levelled as a feral druid since long, long before TBC hit). Itemization can still be an annoying issue at some points. :/
If you're 56, you could also start poking at the AH for the Outlands green staves of random suffix and feral attack power. The lowest one (
Angerstaff
) requires level 57.
At 58, you can pick up a quest (
alliance
and
horde
version) for
Agamaggan's Quill
, but I have no idea whether you'll manage to complete it. (I did on my mage at 58, but mages and druids are completely different beasts.)
Beyond that... have a look at
this list
to see what's out there, in terms of quest rewards, instance drops and random greens. :) (Not including epics, but epics are usually either from heroic instances, or raiding... you won't be seeing those for a bit yet.)

While 58-60 would scream through in the outlands, the smart one will hold off for outlands as long as possible so in the end they have a ton of quest left over at 70 to finance the epic mount.. Guess you really are smarter about these things the 2nd..or 3rd.. 4th etc time through leveling:)
Hehe, yeah.
Though I did start questing in Outlands on my mage (which ended up being my second 70) as soon as I hit 58 (and was grinding there from 56 or so besides).
I was just utterly sick of old world content, and of having to spend the vast majority of my playing time flying from one zone to the other chasing after quests.
But I hit 70 on her very shortly after getting out of Blade's Edge (on the second or third quest in Netherstorm, I think), and should have enough (or almost enough) gold for the epic flier once I'm done working through the leftover quests.
I suspect a good part of it is simply that the levelling areas of Outlands are far less crowded now. When I was levelling to 70 on my druid, everybody else was as well (it was the first days of TBC), and I recall many occasions in which I'd just walk over and pick up quest items off the ground without having to fight any mobs for them (because other people had already cleared), whereas doing the same quests on my mage I actually had to clear to them and then clear back out. So in addition to quest experience, I guess my mage got a good chunk of mob experience my druid didn't.
Either way, I very much know the feeling about not finding good weapons. I wish you better luck in Outlands. :)
