You people certainly aren't all that bright...
tell me how many warriors can heal OTHERS with medical powers fueled by their own rage. Next time you find one, you can tell me how it's a fury warrior. Otherwise, I'll tell you what you can bite if you can't come up with a reasonable arguement.
Although... warriors and barbarians are both core classes in the WoW RPG, which I've never played. How are they different in that?
I mentioned Blood Death Knights. Which do that, fueled by their own blood lust.
Not to mention...
How?
there is no lore showing how they do this, it just happens. There is no lore behind this entire class. It's just "I want a more furious fury warrior". That's why I hate it.

Hate eh? Fine, whatever. You don't.... forget it, I think I should juist find the delete thread button... well, maybe not.
Ya know rather than everyone just shout boo and hiss, give me ideas for ways to vary this class up a bit.

Even though almost everyone hates this, I figure I can help make this a even more different from warriors.
Barbarians are not afraid to fight striking with their own blood! Blood is fire elemental and boosted by your strength (as is your healing skills.) Blood skills tend to be cheap on rage consumption but may pull at your lifeblood.
Again, ideas to make this class 'different' even though it already is, is helpful.
The main idea is for an offhealer class that doesnt use mana.

Well, how would we do that? It's just so unoriginal in concept that nothing can be done.

I'm just not eve going to listen to you any more, the less counterproductivity I deal with, the better.
Look, I'm going to spell it out so even children can understand the difference:
Warrior: Heavy plate wearing physical damage dealer that uses weapons or tank.
Barbarian: Leather wearing endurance based damage dealer that use weapons or his blood, or supportive offhealer
Now, see if you can spot the difference and I might just be a bit less condescending.

So essentially it's a leather wearing Warrior with more health, less lore than a warrior behind it (If that's possible), and useless off healing abilities that would help very little in PvP at most, and not at all in PvE. I don't mind the idea, but seriously put some lore into it. Tell us why there powers work. Then try and make it useful in a real situation. We're giving you suggestions, your just whining and refusing to take them with "Waah, making a hero class is hard! You do it sometime (Which indeed, I have)!" instead of going "Hmm... They're right. How can I make this work?"

first off, stop being so defensive, it ruins your own thread and makes you look arrogant who says he wanna hear the ideas and critique but in reality he does not wanna hear it. You said your point of view and calling people simple minded or i will dumb it down attitude will not work in your favour. It is not said directly but it is implied then you write response like that. This was mention by another poster on page one.
Now to my question, and do mind i do like the idea.
First of they awake in a lone place, but is they gonna work like others barbarians there you met barbarians in the start zone(i assume you do one start zone, having several make it small and hard to find space, and the type of loner does not work well to use already implanted start zone(like troll/orc start zone. Now thinking a bit perhaps it is better with one for horde and one for alliance each, due otherwise they fight alot).
So is it gonna be some telt settlement where the barbarians trainer is(all other classes got a class trainer) and start q?
Second question, isn't attack power gonna be gone in the Catalysm think i read they removed it as one of the four stats they gonna take off game?

I had an idea... or two.
What if the Barbarian's fighting style was to focus around armor penetration.
As well, the story can easily be fleshed out to be more that of a gladiator slave who escapes to learn to better survive when he wakes up at a nomadic setting.
The real issue I'm wondering is, where is there a commonality arena where both factions would be turned to slaves?

1. I'd prefer for him to smash people rather then to try to slip through the cracks of their armor, maybe a cool mechanic where you hit them so hard that there armor cracks decreasing their armor rather than increasing your Armor Pen, and it's based off of damage.
2. Sounds like Blademaster/Gladiator to me, make him more like a Hunter type WIldman of the woods IMO.
3. Yes, there is. Trolls (Not Darkspear of course).

Gurubashi Arena... my story idea takes us back a few years before WoW's timeline begins, say... 2 years!
This puts the options in a strange place.
Worgen and Draenei are out because while your Gilnean human can be enslaved, Arugal probably wasn't there to curse him yet. Draenei didn't step onto Azeroth until 1 month before the game's timeline begins.
Undead... possibly.
Seeing as this goes in line with my other expansions, the only other race that doesn't seem very gladiatorial by 2 years ago standards is tough to choose: Naga could be the option, since Saldatian Naga did not leave their new settlement unless desperate... on the other hand, escaping the pits could lead them to find solace amongst them.
Taunka, being practically unheard of south of Northrend, would not likely be captured, and finally there's the Troggs, as stupid as the rocks they're born from, and about as tame as one rolling down a hill. The story could be that as you fell unconcious and woke up 2 years later, things changed and you grew some brainz!
This of course lends itself to Taunka being the odd one. Ice Trolls are common in Khaz'modan, and Nerubians seem capable of getting around moreso.
Yes... this class will undergo major revisions practically a topdown recreation!
Still gonna be called Barbarian though, after all: if a big minotaur approaches you wielding a worn cudgel bigger than a basketball player, would you really fear him more if he was a Barbarian, or a BLADE Master... by being a Barbarian, he can tap into that loner survival instinct that tells him he needs to patch up wounds with whatever poultices he finds and that fear is the one way to die above all else.

No, it is not being removed, it is just not going to be previewed on items . (I.E. The common Agility + Attack Power), instead the item will display only Agility or Strength, which converts into Attack Power on your character sheet.
