Cant afford epic gem = too lazy to do dailies.
Make 500g doing 1-2 hours of dailies. You suck because you're lazy. Try not to confuse that with casual. Two very different things.
This isnt even counting the 100G a day you make from almost any profession.

OR he could go Heroics to farm Emblems of Conquest, to trade in for Valor, to trade for Heroism, to buy his epic gem, or if he's a PvP fan, go farm BGs for honor, to buy uncut epic gems.. etc.
I agree. Lazy. I "cant afford epic gems" and even I have two full sets of gear + 3/4 alternate pieces of gear for each spec fully gemmed with epics.

It's not that easy, you guys know. I generally barely have enough play time to finish my Argent Tournament dailies (farming seals for the pony and charger).
In that same less-than-half-an-hour, I could otherwise gain 8000 honour from WG (if I haven't done the quests that week yet, and it happens to be on), or I could run through a low level heroic (if a group was ready to go and didn't take half an hour to get to the summoning stone).
Having said that, epic gems are in the low 200-300g range. 20 daily quests of any sort can get you there, however long it takes. Personally, I think that's a lot easier than farming heroics for them, but.. *shrugs*
I can't see wowheroes, so I'm looking at the Armory, and it's showing me 95/150 Enchanting and 1/75 Mining. Is that for real? Go level up some gathering professions and go make money - the cost and value of epic gems is probably better than the total cost of levelling a crafting profession. Or levelling JC to avoid the middle-man.

When did this convo change to an issue of OP being lazy or not?
Int for yellow
Int/MP5 for blue
Int/SP for red
That was all that needed to be said in this thread.
In regards to money making, I do hear averages of 250G/hr with dailies, that's an hour of farming for one epic gem (my server price) with a guild badge farming run, 10 badges in 1 hour is doable, but that only nets to 1 hybrid gem.
If you really want epic gems, do quests and dailies.

When he said he cant afford 150g (250? lol poor u) for a epic gem and wanted to know how to 'not suck'? It takes 5-10 min to do 1 daily. It takes 10 dailies for a epic gem.
or
Most profession net ~150g a day at the push of a button. That takes 5 min. 5 sec to push the button 4 min 55sec to Auction it.
Dont be lazy! You know you want your epic gemz!

If you find what you're doing to be enough, don't worry about sucking.

Wait what. I think I misunderstood at least one thing, and at most everything.

Retarded quote of the day.
How is "If you get the job you don't suck" retarded?
And @OP while I feel your pain at not having money (dailies are too boring for my taste) there's plenty of things to do and if time is your downfall, it doesn't mean you can't complete only one or two dailies or simply farm for a little bit.
Because the OP was asking how to improve himself, not how to be a pacifist. Also, everyone that has a 'job' automatically doesnt suck? What kind of nonsense is that?

And I'm referring to the fact he's not concerned with min/maxxing. Epic gems are the biggest jump to actually improving your
GEM CHOICE
, and he's unwilling to do that. Looking at his gear, his achievements, he doesn't seem to really be worried about progression or actually getting the most out of his character.
I'm saying if he's comfortable with where he is now,
then so be it.
If you really don't care about that, then fine. My advice is going to be lost. Get some money, there's a lot of ways to do this. I'm all about maximizing profit from my professions without camping the AH, and I don't do dailies, and I get enough from turning profit on stupid things, like converting Eternals to Crystallized stuff, and vice versa, if the market is leaning one way or the other. I don't relist auctions, and I'm really damn certain when I undercut people so I'm earning sales while they're not.
And really, if you have the time to waste raiding, even if isn't "hardcore serious", you should have the time to earn some gold, and it can be done fast.
To be perfectly clear, you could socket full Hit gems and still be an effective healer. Go for socket bonuses if you want; However, I don't do that.

Yeah, not seeing your point.
This all goes back to my lazy comment, where in my great wisdom fortold that he just wants a easy way to make cash (shock), and I outlined two ways how.

So not having epic gems = sucking? Obviously if you suck with 8 blue gems, you'll still suck with 8 epic gems (only you'll be 3k gold poorer). Got to love how someone who asks for help is already being flamed within 2 posts...
I've got about an hour a day to do dailies and 7 gear sets to gem (on 4 toons); and no I'm not lazy, but raiding on 4 toons does take a bite out of your schedule.

Conclusions. Youre jumping to them.
Obviously if you suck with 8 blue gems, you'll still suck with 8 epic gems (only you'll be 3k gold poorer).
Do you not play this game? From Nov 2004 its been about incremental improvements. The concept of many small improvements make one big improvement is lost on you or are you trolling?
If your epic gems cost 375 gold I feel sorry for you. Im on a
PvP
server and they are all below 200 now.

Naxx-25 was being raided by guilds in sunwell/BT gear at launch. I'll say it again--going from blue gems to epic gems will not make someone stop sucking. If you suck you're either stacking the wrong stats, not using a proper rotation, or standing in the green stuff.
Trading his gems for the same epic ones will net 22 int, 3 mp5, and 3 sp. Clearly that's not what the problem is.
And greens are the cheapest at high 190s to low 200s. Reds are 425.
