Finishing moves consume combo points.
Some finishers are damage moves (i.e. Envenom, Eviscerate).
Some finishers are status debuffs (i.e. Kidney shot, Expose Armor).
Some finishers are self buffs (i.e. Slice and Dice).
there is also DoT finishing move.
A rogue is all about putting as much damage on the board as fast as possible then getting the hell outa there. They do high dps, but lack in armour (like your mage). Thats why the rogue uses stealth to get close to enemies without being detected and dishing out damage.
They are also one of, if not the best, stunlock classes in the game. They have about 3-4 stunning moves, so they can kill players without ever getting hit themselves. So when your playing you need to think about that.
But as a rogue, your always going to be leaning towards a pvp player rather than instances and raids. So you need to think about that when you make your rogue. Is PvP what you want to do, because thats going to be your main source of epic items as a rogue, rather than instances. PvP is what they excell at.
