Healing 26% of someone's health

Having done Naxxramas for quite a while a resto shaman, I realised tonight how hard it is to actually heal through
Frost Blast
as a shaman, even in heroic raid gear.
I can't heal over 4000 with LHW without a crit. Withnature's swiftness obviously I can get ahead, but without it I don't get the time to cast earthshield (without them dying), or riptide as that's 2 seconds - half their health gone. I've had Frost Blast occur more than once in 3 minutes.
Have Blizzard made this ability so that only priests, druids, palas can heal? Or am I missing something.

You only need to heal 5% of their HP + however much they were missing anyway. I've never healed naxx, but surely the instant part of riptide will save someone from Iceblock, allowing you to LHW them up to full?
NS + Heal, Riptide or LHW (+Tidal Waves) is how the Resto Shamans I run Naxx with do it.

Riptide is around 4k for me, or a lucky crit. That's about 20% of most people

You need to be on your toes and gear for LHW spam for the KT fight. Chainheal will not bounce when fighting Kel'thuzad, so grab your PvP heal totem and use only riptide/LHW.
Beating the frost blast just requires that you are
paying attention to the fight at all times
. Make sure you are in range of all members of the raid (tell those stupid casters/hunters to move back so you can get a central spot, they don't need one.)
If you notice the debuff within one second, you can throw a riptide down which will probably save them. Use LHW right after to be sure.
Shamans are fine at dealing with the KT frost blasts, pay
attention.

Well, .26( part of health) * 4(seconds)= 1.04( amount of damage done in comparisont to total health)
So, you just need to heal 4% of their entire health and they are alive. For a tnak with a 30,000 point health pool, 4% is only 1200 points; bottom line is they live through the blast with just one LHW. They get through it a bit low on health, but assuming they dont get hit immeadiately again, which, unless they are tanking ,shouldnt happen, they will live. Plus, if you cast 2 LHW's or just one HW they will be fine.
EDIT: I forgot to account for health missing prior to the spell, but in 4 seconds you can surely keep them alive, unless they were very low on health to begin with. Plus, the tank shouldnt get hit with it, so the targets healthpool will generally be low( unless they are, for some stupid reason( OT excluded), stacking stamina). Remember, there is going to be other healers healing also.
I was trying to keep them at 100%, I get everyone's point now.

In 10 man I save my Riptide for people getting Frost Blasted. That's all you need to do. The instant heal combined with the first tick is enough.

It's 0.94... 94% of their maximum health.
¿O.o?

25+25+25+25 = 100
1+1+1+1 = 4
100 + 4 = 94
So
26+26+26+26 = 94
that's simple !
LOL

But for the OP
i failed some time when i started healing naxx on my drood. I changed my spell for all mouse over macro and i changed the max distance view of the camera.
When i see someone getting hit by the frostblast, i move the mouse over it and start casting. After these change i never missed any Frost Blast and it helped a lot on my overall healing skill.
(macro to raise the max distance view)
/script SetCVar("cameraDistanceMax", 30)
/script SetCVar("cameraDistanceMaxFactor", 2)

Riptide is generally enough to ensure that the person lives. Following up with a LHW seals the deal. You should be able to use both within the time allotted. The problem with frost blast is that everyone freaks out about the 99% of the damage and forgets that it's really just the remaining 5% that matters, so they load up their biggest spell and miss.
The reason I hate frost blast was that, while I never let anyone die to a frost blast, I would die almost 100% to them because the other healers couldn't react fast enough. It got so bad, that we had to call some folks out because it was getting embarrassing. For about 3 months, I did not survive to the end of a single KT fight (sometimes dying two to three times with battle rez + reincarnate).

Not to be an arse but how can you not notice thath 104 - 4 =100 ?
No i don't think people will be fine if they take 100% of their health as damage.
