From WoW.com :
Planned to have 20 guild levels. Everyone can contribute to advancing it. Raids, dailies, BGs, etc will all contribute to advancing the guild.
High level guilds will get access to new perks.
Guild talent trees! Cheaper repairs, less durability loss when wiping in raids, etc. "Mass ressurection" Rezzing an entire guild after a raid wipe.

"Mass ressurection" Rezzing an entire guild after a raid wipe.
Petty though it may be, I don't like this. People need to learn that they should spend the five minutes walking back to the location of the wipe like everyone else, and wipes are not an occasion for a five minute smoke break while saying 'someone else's problem.' As a healer, I
hate
that one guy who refuses to leave his corpse and acts like I'm his personal resurrection slave in a raid. If it was up to me, this feature would be implemented with an option for the raid leader to decide who gets to be massed rezzed and who doesn't, so the guy who
never ever once ran back himself
has to be the only one to walk all the way back.
Other than that though, I really like this idea. It gives guilds more defined goals and I think it could help to keep guilds together. Or everyone will just ./ragequit and then whine on the official realm forums about how none of the good guilds will take them. One or the other.

Don't worry, I'm sure it'll have a cooldown or limit of some kind to prevent that kind of thing from happening. I, for one as a Resto Shaman, have been yearning for some kind of mass resurrection ever since I witnessed Chief Icemist cast it in Dragonblight. =D

and that would get the most /gquit spams you will ever see, i have walked back ro flew back (for naxx) and i would honestly think any guild that says 'cause you never walked back on your own ever, you will never be mass rezzed, i would quit the guild there and then.
So, are you telling me, if one of your friends or family members fell down the stairs or something along those lines, you would just tell them to get back up without helping them up?

First of all, real life injury is not the same as a wipe in WoW. I shouldn't have to explain that, but I guess I should understand the internet by now. Secondly,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tongue_in_cheek
. It annoys me when people make me their personal rezz slave and never bother to walk back themselves, because it shows they aren't as dedicated to the raid as someone else who consistently walked back. Read the article I linked for you and decide if you think I was being completely serious or not.

Am a priest so don't tell me i dont feel teh same but, Wouldn't it be better if they had the mass rez, this way you dont have to feel like a rez slave? Also what's the point of 4 classes and a profession(engineering) that can revive people, and not use it?
Thats like telling a warlock hey usse that soulstone on your self, while we're on the last part of a raid and probably the hardest boss with a chance of a guarantee 1st wipe.

Ooh, that would be real nice to not have to pay as much in repairs!
The guild levels sound like a good idea for people searching for successful guilds. May be easier to find a good one.
I cant help but feel that will only apply to repairs via the gbank, but then again you can just throw what you paid into there.

That was also the first thing that ran through my mind when i saw that.

Yeah, this one is straight off Warhammer, all you need is some &*!@#$ to wave a banner among raiders to gain the bonuses and we're there. But all in all, WAR had it nicely done, where guild level-ups lead to gaining bonuses to banners. And you could set the tax-rate at which you paid to the guildbank from your loot/experience. Waiting for that to happen now...

I'm pretty sure amongst the thousands of multiplayer games there is a guild leveling system which existed before warhammer.
Oh most likely it has been around, but it was in WAR where *I* saw it first. Can only speak for myself. :)
