For clarity try:
For raiding, CoD is only used by Destro builds that do not include Molten Core. Affliction will use CoA for more DPS. Demo and Destro builds with Molten Core will use CoA to increase MC uptime.I'll copy/paste that, will reduce that huge paragraph down to size. The armor reduction from CoW does stack with Sunder/Expose Armor but does not stack with Sting or faerie Fire
The AP reduction does not stack with Demoralizing Shout/Roar.
Source
Certain group comps can make CoW a viable option. Rule of thumb:
more than 1/2 group is melee and the # of melee is >4 and armor debuff not coming from somewhere else use it.So the complete opposite of what I put in, figures.
Tyvm, Blight.
NP, Ty for putting this together. Hopefully it helps new locks some.,

CoE and the versions that druids and DKs have are debuffs on the target, as such they ARE very much raid wide.
unholyDKs are best at this debuff since they are the only ones that can put it up on whole groups.
boomkins are next best. they only put it on single targets but it is a by-product of their normal single target rotation.
locks are last. we have to give up damaging curses to apply it.
of all the different warlock specs, destro are the best to put it up so if you're destro then you should volunteer.
assuming the spell damage debuff is covered you should be using CoD for as long as you can be sure it will be useful. on a fight like archavon he will only last about a minute so you'd only use it once. a current boss fight will last much longer so you can use it several times.

I tend to put up CoE even if we have a moonkin in the raid, as I just don't trust them to keep it up. What if they die, or get interrupted, say Hodir's flash freeze or something? Or if they get spell locked at Ignis? Even on something simple like Emalon, what if he's late in switching to the overcharged add or back again? Or if he decides to dps whelps instead of Onyxia? Sure, none of this should happen in a perfect situation, but CoE will stay up with much more certainty. Hell, even if you die yourself, it stays up!
Regarding unholy DK's, I've never actually seen one.
Also, I like to put CoW on one of the Jormungar in ToC10
