Another Enhancement question for you: Does Dual Wield Specialization give spell hit now? I was forever stacking hit in Enhancement, even late into the expansion. Enhancement needs ridiculous amounts of it, and if we share gear with hunters, I'm afraid we'll be coming up short a lot.
or you could put 7 points in elemental and get hit from spirit like the cool kids do :P (unless enhance gear has no spirit on it :S)
Enhancement gear (luckily...) doesn't have spirit on it. :-p
As for the actual question - I have the Improved DW talent from specialization and while it only says "improves hit while dual wielding" rather than melee hit it seems it still doesn't affect spell hit. :-(

I have some questions about the beta, if you would please answer:
My main character being a night elf, does Teldrassil change? (like the starting quests, areas, etc.)
I heard Ashenvale is getting cut down! That makes me mad, since it was one of my favourite zones... Is there any chance of the night elves pushing Warsong out? Is Ashenvale going to become the stump forest, or back to the way it is currently?
It's been said Desolace became all lushy green with life, which is impressive, considering the terrible condition it was in before. They said something about demons in the zone though, and I can't help but wonder what they are doing there! Any quests on that?
As for my last question, I was wondering if there was any hint of a new level 10 ability for BM hunters. Intimidation doesn't seem to have a benefit in dungeon groups, unless it's being changed, OR if stuns become useful in dungeon groups. Anyways, that's it for now. Thanks ahead of time!
1. I've quested a lot in Ashenvale and it's not cut down. Bigger parts than usual maybe but not a lot at least. :-) Seems all the Night Elf towns are either destroyed or under attack (by the Horde) though, but to be fair the allies are doing the same in the Southern Barrens. :-p
2. Desolace has some green parts now, but on the other hand the Cataclysm has destroyed part of it to the advantage of the Naga in the area. I really hope the zone is getting changed more questwise because it had some of the most boring and frustrating quests I've ever done, which is something you don't see every day when it comes to the new/remade zones.
The only demonic activity I saw there was the usual - Satyrs and Burning Blade cultists.
3. That's the first thing that I thought when I saw the new specialization system as well... I really hope it changes since the new BM tree actually looks like it could finally be good in PvE. :-)

Is there any new quests in Desolace about the giant naga skeletons?

When is Cata being released? Haha, ok now for the real question.
We all know what racials worgans and goblins get, but what about the old races. What are the revamped racial talents?

With the great wall being put up at the entrance to the tauren zone, how would an alliance hunter get in to tame a certain pink flamingo? It didn't look like there was any way past it.

There are striders with the same model in the Southern Barrens now called Deviate Strider.

Yay! Thanks. Do you have to take the blimp out of thunderbluff now by the way? I don't see ANY way through the gate, even for horde. Outside of flight.

Yup, zep's the only way in and out of Thunderbluff now. Makes sense to me since there's a whole army of alliance soldiers right on the other side of the gate. :-P

whats the situation with the allliance quest chain in western plaugelands.
You mean Andorhal? Seemed to end right after the conversation between Thassarian and Koltira for me. Then again the Sylvanas vs Koltira thingy didn't happen at all on my game so who knows. :-S

Can you fly between mainland Kalimdor and Teldrassil?
Also, the bridge in Redridge...is it completed?

The bridge is completed. Though there's some interesting stuff going on in Redridge... ;-)
As for the Kalimdor ---> Teldrassil part - I'll check it out soonish and update the post.
@malion12: Koltira and Thassarian meet each other during the battle for Andorhal and decide to make a pact that after they've defeated Darkmaster Gandling and Araj's scourge ïn the area, they'll put down their weapons and leave since they don't wanna fight each other.

Some Shaman questions.
First, how's
Spiritwalker's Grace
looking? Fun all-round or cute gimmick? Second, could we get a screenie of
Healing Rain
? I'd love to see the effect of it. Now, some questions about
Unleash Elements
. Is there a different animation or color depending on the imbue on your weapon? What
is
the animation? Does it go off of both weapons for enh or just MH? Is
Rockbiter's
unleash really a taunt? And last, does it say anywhere in game, maybe on the in-game tooltips, what each of the releases are? Because the ones on Wowhead don't.
Edit: Just thought of a couple more questions. As someone who wasn't around at a high level in TBC, I never got to experience the need for CC that was around then, so with CC back, how does the play style of dps feel compared to now, where there is never any CC used in heroics except maybe in HPoS and HHoR? How is the pace of healing different to how it is now? And tanking, is it easier, harder or about the same in regards to generating threat and holding aggro? How's the new block mechanic working out?
Also, Garenzo...your icon...the right heads all "I will kill you -_-" while the left heads all "OMG there's a cat over there!
O
"(cyclopean O.O)...I love it...

Spiritwalker's Grace isn't in yet - level cap is 83 atm and you get it at 85. :-(
Healing Rain screenie:

One can assume that the water on the ground will look a bit different. :-P
Unleash Elements looks a bit like the Warrior throwing skills I believe. Basically you throw your weapon (animation only shows mainhand) and it does a cleave-like animation when it hits. And yes, you get the effect of both weapons now. And yes, the Rockbiter one is a taunt.
http://img192.imageshack.us/img192/2127/wowscrnshot072610120426.jpg
Rockbiter itself also gives extra threat now like it did long ago, and -5% damage taken.
@The last question: Let's say you're playing a shaman and running say, The Stonecore...
There are some annoying trash pulls especially early on there where they might ask you to CC one of the caster mobs, (since they shapeshift into big elementals and start AoEing after a while) so you hex it when he pulls and keep an eye out on it so the hex doesn't break. That's pretty much it. :-P
There's also an encounter in Blackrock Cavern (last boss) where the boss has two unkillable, unCCable adds and while they're close to the boss the entire group gets -99% healing recieved. This is when kiting comes in - let's take the shaman again: You get them both to aggro you and then you put down a stoneskin totem and/or frostshock & Unleash Elements: Frostbrand them and kite them around the room until the rest of the group kills the boss. :-)
Healing is a lot harder because a lot is going on at the same time as mana is scarce, however, most healers got a form of "DPS to regen". (priests and shammies did, and pallies always had the judgement one) It's very possible to go OOM now, and you probably will towards the end on bossfights when you're not overgeared... some bosses are very "cruel" now, annoying skills and some tactical stuff like the kiting thing mentioned above.
I think the playstyle of DPS will be pretty similar to what it is now except that they'll have to watch their aggro more now and not just AoE mindlessly due to CC breaking. They'll also have to do a lot of interrupting from what I've seen so far - healer mobs are
much
more dangerous now since they spamheal as if they were players.
Can't say anything about tanking now since both warriors and DKs have a lot of problems with bad AoE. (feels like you're using rank 1 of whatever skill you're using :-S) New block will reduce damage by 30% I believe.
And yes,
Cho'gall
is awesome. :-P
And about what you asked before: You can fly between Kalimdor and Teldrassil without fatigue.

A few questions:
1) Is re-forging (for the crafting professions) implemented yet?
2) Enhance Shaman question: Have you done enough solo questing to have a feel for how your complementary spell-casting is compared to existing? (that is, how is your spell power—good enough that opening with lightning bolts is useful? do you stay in good mana easily just with storm strikes and maybe water shield, etc).
3) Have the larger old-world dungeons been split up (Blackrock depths, Wailing Caverns as examples)? I’d love to do blackrock depths without having to take nap breaks…
4) Anyone played in the upper 50s level range, to see if they’ve smoothed the equipment curve between the old world and Outlands?
5) It was mentioned that most of the zones have more ‘story-like’ quest chains. Does this mean that the Mulgore is no longer a series of “go kill quantity X of creature Y and bring their bloody body parts” quests? To me is was the most bland of the starting zones.
