This made me happy..
Lines tagged New! or Changed! have been added with latest PTR update (March 13, 2009.)
User Interface
New Advanced features for quest tracking are now available. Players will need to activate this option within the Interface panel.
New! Confirmation boxes have been added to purchases over 150 gold.
New! The mini-map has been optimized for better performance. Displays for vehicles, class colors, and off-map pings have been added as well.
New! Players first entering any dungeon that will result in a lock-out timer will be warned if they are going to be saved to the instance. This warning will include an option to port to the nearest graveyard before being saved.
New! New elite mob frames have been added for V-Key frames.
For additional notes on Lua and XML changes please visit the UI & Macros forum.
Awesome!
Now if only they fixed ninjaing raid save IDs (as in 1 person creating a whole new group to clear the instance before the group reforms). It's starting to become a problem.

but does this provide a warning if any bosses are already dead in said raid lockout zone? If not it won't help prevent ninja raid lockouts.

Blizzard's iteration is a bit unclear. What they're trying to say is that if the person leading the raid is saved, and accidently or purposefully gets others who are not saved to enter, this warning will pop up, allowing you to not get saved.

I was under the impression that if a group gets saved to an instance but fails and leaves, each member of the instance group has it saved separately, so that (if they wanted to) each member could make a completely separate group from the others and, as long as said members enter first in their respective groups, they could each finish off the instance separately on their own saves.
Either this is the case, or I got lucky the other day and the group I was in decided to not bother with Heroic VH instead of finding another healer. When I went back later, the instance hadn't changed from how I'd left it.

Once any member of a party is saved to an instance, they will enter as it was left until the reset timer ticks off.
This is true even if they form a party where every other member is different but they, and they are the group's leader. An unfortunate fact that allows to some unscrupulous people to lead a group into someone's raid to finish off bosses while the original group is sleeping or simply not raiding that day.
This is what I'm trying to point out as the problem. Thanks for making it sound more lucid.

This really is a great change. People saved to naxx 25 will often get others saved on my server and proclaim innocence, because they knew that they would not get such a good group if people were told it wasn't a fresh run - but once saved, people will be angry but not leave, as they obviously don't want to waste the week totally. It is a big problem in pugs so this is a great change for them.

A good improvement. I am sure everyone has once been the victim of being a part of someone else's saved raid before. This should help alleviate the problem.

I've tested it on ptr and this is what happens.
You enter a dungeon and your leader is saved to it :
you are prompted if you wish to leave or remain and be saved.
Your group just killed the first boss for the current session:
if someone loots :
you get no choice and you are saved.
if no-one loots :
you are prompted if you wish to leave or remain and be saved.
