GM Island

The way World of Warcraft is built is so each map, (Eastern Kingdoms, Kalimdor, Outlands, Northrend, soon Maelstrom, and GM Island, etc.) are all on separate map files. The loading screen is you being instanced into that zone. They are not going to change that in Cataclysm, simply rebuild these maps instead of connecting them.
The sheer distance from Kalimdor to GM Island is outstanding, and you would definitely die, even with a flying mount, once out there. I'm sure Blizzard will put in some sort of Fatigue system in order to prevent these sort of things.
(And yes, I have seen where GM island is. With your world map at 50% normal scale, move your cursor over Teldrassil. Scroll it slowly to the left, until at about 3 inches off the world map. That is GM Island.)

Or you could speed hack, i seen vids on youtube doing it on live server, but this guy, Kaptainkrunks says you can see the GM island on the map menu (M) wich you infact cant, since its WAY out of the map, therefore asking him to show me excatly where he sees the GM island, not how to get to it. Atleast thats how i read it.

A question I have is, is it possible to reach it using shamans farsight, and if you do, would that make you bannable?

Doesn't exist in the true game =D
People are able to
hack
their way there, too.
Exactly.
There is information inside the World of Warcraft folder that creates Vanilla WoW zones.
When Cataclysm launches, will the original files for Vanilla WoW still exist?
Will Cataclysm's files just be added onto the existing WoW folder making Word of Warcraft take even more of my computer's memory?
Or will Cataclysm delete and replace the original files?
The Old World is getting updated permanently-- if the Vanilla Wow zones are getting a makeover what will happen to the original files?
I believe that Gm Island exists somewhere within the original installed game files of World of Warcraft. Messing around with these files can enable a player to "hack" their way to GM island.
If the files where GM island are getting updated, what will happen to this island>?
Actually, I hope they do replace and delete all of the zones and stuff that's changing. I have a old-ish computer and I budget its memory tightly. Id rather not have a bunch of useless files of an unused game sitting on my harddrive. :S
